This was a episode from a TV series hosted by Shirley Temple, in
the 1950s. The series consisted of fairy-tale type stories,
portrayed by actors. In this episode, a beautiful princess, who has
lost her kingdom, is transformed magically into a strong, handsome
young prince, in order to fight to regain her kingdom. She
successfully fights to win back her kingdom. She finds that she
greatly enjoys being male, especially such a strong, successful
one. At the end of the episode, she very reluctantly, and with
great embarrassment, agrees to be transormed into a beautiful young
woman again.
I was only about 7 or 8 when I saw this TV show. Perhaps someone
remembers this in more detail than I do, or can find better
documentation for it.
