Yes, the compiled clips zip file is that size.

Time for a periodic update.
I'm not on IRC anymore. When giving maximum bandwidth to other
things, I kept getting disconnected. I wasn't serving files anyway
so there really wasn't a point to it.
My really large torrent is still streaming along. I give it all the
available bandwidth when I'm asleep or at work, and reduce it when
I need the internet. The 42+ gigabytes of TG related materials from
my IRC server (videos and mangas, the link with the list is on page
1 of this thread) is being downloaded by between 30-45 people
whenever I look at it. In the many days since the project started,
I've sent out over 24 gigabytes, and availability shows 42.5% if
you're connected to enough peers. And it can only get faster as
more gets streamed out and more peers join the download.
The clips torrent seeds keep disappearing, but there aren't many
people downloading that.
Anyone want to share their thoughts? After all, I did start this
thread relating to sharing files, and not just for me to babble.
Read the first entry to catch up.

You might think about uploading them to rapidshare or megaupload.

Actually zshare would probably be best for that

Timber, I'm really interested in the Turnabout TV series episodes
and the Goodbye Charlie TV pilot episode...Like the others said,
would you be able to upload individual things to Rapidshare,
Megaupload, etc,?? Thanks...

I don't care how others share what I'm sharing once they acquire
them. Often in the past, once someone gets what they want, they
rarely continue sharing it with anyone else. And I'm not just
talking about torrents.
Last I checked, places like rapidshare and all those like it can't
quite support a 42 gigabyte archive file, and I'm not breaking up
the files to make them fit whatever their max size per file is.
Again, what others do once they get it is up to them.

I don't know how hard is to create a edonkey/emule server.
Here is more info.
I think, that advantages are:
Users get credits for sharing, so who is generous download faster
and skip others in que.
It is easier to use. Clients decide which folder want to share. It
is also easier to add new files
So maybe more users wil stay sharing, but mayority will probably
still be selfish.
Or just share without creating server (client download)
Btw. If anyone has a 760 MB version of Wish upon a star (body swap
between sisters), please start Emule and share it, there is about
30 people waiting to finish download.

I just spent the last half hour investigating those options. I
couldn't figure out what zshare was, and am not familiar with it. I
have used megaupload and rapidshare before but never really looked
at them too closely. I reviewed their FAQs and terms of service and
here's the short version of what I found. If anyone knows
differently and can point me to the documentation, please feel free
to do so.
Rapidshare hosts no larger than 100 megabytes per file. If I were
to split the archive, you're still looking at 430 pieces. It would
take a very long time to split and upload that. It'd probably take
even longer to download because there is some kind of download
limit but I can't find what it is.
Megaupload will not take anything larger than 500 megabytes per
file if you want free users to download without paying for a
premium account. That would mean 86 pieces and probably take just
as long to split and upload all that. They too have some kind of
download limit which I can't find.
And of course, in their terms of use, no files that violate
copyrights. That's the bulk of the archive. Also similarly their
terms of use also indicates something regarding pornography which
some of the content also is. So Jonny's requests will not happen,
at least not by my hand. And I'll reiterate that what others do is
up to them.

EDonkey and EMule are just peer to peer sharing networks, no
different than bit torrents. Pretty sure that the same kind of
apathy with regards to torrents would apply to EDonkey.

Maybe the problem is that sharing is illegal, but having files not.
(At least in my country.) That's why new seeds disappear.
I am also downloading huge torrent, but I have limited connection
to 20GB per month, and I share it with brother and father, so for
me is about 7GB. I chose about 2GB to download and set full upload
speed, so it is easy to keep share ratio above 1, maybe I add some
files later, it depends how long will be torrent available. Maybe
it is little help, but I can't do more.

Every little bit helps. We're at just over 50% availability if
you're connected to enough peers and as far as I can tell things
are running smoothly. The new people joining the torrent are
getting good speeds at the benefit from those who I've been sending
to thus far at a snails pace. So hopefully the first seeds besides
myself will be at 100% within a week.
embe, I do hope you manage to get everything you're interested in
off my server torrent since your connection is limited.
Don't forget that with your torrent client, you can most likely
select files to assign a higher priority to if there is anything in
particular you want to get faster than others.

So some 19 days later, my torrent is showing I've sent out over 44
gigabytes of data. The most any peer currently has is something
over 85% and there are many in the mid to high 70 percent so full
seeds shouldn't be long now. Anyone who's interested in acquiring
the stuff from my IRC server should probably get on it soon because
I don't know how long the seeds will stick around once they have
everything and it'll take a while to download. Once additional
seeds are created, I won't be giving much bandwidth to the torrent
since it's been nearly full blast for the last 3 weeks and I will
need my hardware to take a rest.
I will most likely create an additional torrent for various stuff
that I acquired that was never placed into the IRC server. That
will be a later project so I'll give an update and a file list when
that one is green lit.

Looks like everyone should be start seeding since most leechers
finish downloading today or tomorrow. But I think most of the
people will act like before, hit and run.
I personally will keep on seeding as I promised----until somebody
pisses me off, just like last time.......

From: Timber

After 24 days, the torrent is showing over 100% availability,
though no one person has become a seed yet. If connected to enough
peers outside of myself as the only seed as of right now, all 42+
gigabytes of files are available. So get it while you can folks.
This opportunity may not come again.

I'm still about 18% shy of the whole thing going at about
60-100KB/s. I have my upload set to unlimited but the most I've
seen it go is about 40-80KB/s. Are People capping their down
speeds?

Hm...
How long can I hope to see this torrent? I`m happily seeding about
777mb of this file...
I`m waiting for my new notebook with a little more disc space,
since this torrent is actually bigger than my hard drive at the
moment
The most torrent progs are automatically capping the down speed if
the upload is to limited.
