The title of this episode is "Foothold".
Two alien devices enables the aliens to assume the appearance and
identities of humans they capture. Samantha Carter captures and
uses the imaging component of this device, causing her to appear as
Daniel Jackson. Several on-screen morphs from Samantha to Daniel
and vice-versa.
Carter takes a few minutes after initially using the device to
examine her new appearance as Daniel Jackson in front of a mirror,
then removes the device and changes back.
Later, Carter is testing a device intended to disrupt the imaging
technology while disguised as Daniel. Nice morph of the effect
fading in/out while she looks at her hand, morphing from male to
female and back again.
Not much exploration of how extensive the changes were, but based
on the aliens that were using the device it appears that it
provided both a visual and tactile (touch) transformation. The
subjects voice also alters to match the person they appear to be,
but their memories and mannerisms are unaffected without an
additional device they aliens possessed.
