Alan Barrie book A Woman's Passion
Gender
The enchanting memoir of a man who spends a fascinating, edifying, romantic, and sexy week as a woman.
From: siege , 258 months, post #1
very highly recommended!!!

very well written, a long slow change in 2 stages, first as a 18 yr old teen girl, then as a twenty something woman, and his girlfriend helps him learn everything he must know.

His body and emotions continue to transform from male to female over the period of a week. And the changee is VERY observant and interested since it was his idea in the first place.

What are you waiting for? (HINT - Go to buy.com and save money on it like i did!!! [5 bucks and free shipping!!!)

you will be glad you did!

I highly recommend this book. The character basically experiences the unique development of a female (growing up from a girl to a woman) as he slowly transforms his body and mind over the course of a week. With the use of a little magic, on a Springbreak vacation with his girlfriend, he willing volunteers for the transformation and offers a very descriptive first person perspective.

The best tg novel ever written.

Just finished reading it. I really enjoyed it, the details over the course of the transformation were amazing. I hated the ending though.

These excerpts sold me. This is probably my favorite tg novel ever.

Seems more direct just to read a Harlequin romance novel

A very good novel, if a bit flowery at times, but like G7subs I thought the ending was very weak.

The book is a crossdress fantasy and the ending was lame, at least for me.

Funny, I LOVED the end. I was really caught up in his/her building dilemma of which lover and which life and which kind of sex was better. And I was surprised when the author pulled off getting out of it.

And it was very romantic. (But maybe that's because I think I'm the only girl reacting here.)

Michele, you're a genetic girl? LOL. I didn't think there were any here! :)

Agree with many of the posts here, loved 90% of the book, hated the ending. The highlight for me was the date and sexual experience as a woman, extremely well done.

Hi, All!

Thanks for the nice words.

For those interested in publishing phenomena: I'm not a very good web marketer. And I don't have a clue about why, although the book has been out for several years, it has suddenly, in the last few months, jumped in sales-per-month by a factor of 4 or 5 times. If anybody has noticed any new reviews or listings or whatever ... please let me know.

For you three who hated the ending, I'd love to hear what you hated about it; it's ironic because a lot of my efanmail is about how people do like the ending.

(Maybe you shouldn't post it here, though, because it might be a spoiler for those who have not yet read the novel. But do send me a note about your take on the ending ... to alanbarrie@yahoo.com.)

For those of you who like the book ... spead the word! (When one spends the time and energy writing a book what one wants most is for people TO READ IT! And the suddenly regular royalty checks aren't bad either!)

Thanks again everyone for the nice words.

Sincerely yours,

Alan Barrie

Hi Alan
Great to see you joining this thread.
Firstly, as one of those that did not like the ending (post above) please note that I loved 90% of the book. Secondly, you have my total admiration for the amount of time and energy that you must have expended to produce the work. As I said before, it was extremely well done in my view.
As requested I will drop you an email on my disappointment with the ending.
Best wishes and thanks for producing a TG classic.

Alan, I tried sending you an E mail but it was returned for some reason.

G7, thanks, I did get your email at alanbarrie@yahoo.com. I'll try to get back to you asap ... see below.

TGTales, I haven't seen yours yet. I'm really curious to see if you have the same take on the end as G7.

But again, then, I think I'll write back to you both directly, instead of posting here, because it is hard to talk about the ending here without making it a spoiler for others.

Yes, G7, I'm an honest-to-goodness xx girl! (But I'm not the same Michele that posted here earlier.)

Are you a "transformation" fan Michele? If so what is your favorite? What do you think of all these guys that want to know what it's like to be girls?

From: guest (Michele) , 190 months, post #20
Hi, Saint137. I'm really not into the age or furry or anything else like that. But I do like gender change stuff, mostly stories and some manga and some morphing art. I had a boyfriend who was a cd, but we broke up more than 2 years ago (It had nothing to do with cd'ing, more to do with just too much weed for my taste.) He was very "passable" and we would shop together for him in women's departments all the time. We were even in a changing room once where it was all really one big room with little separations at each mirror ... but really everybody had a pretty good view of everybody else ... and he went all the way down to his undies to try on a dress ... and no one noticed a thing. I also have a woman friend who is gay who is in a relationship with a F2M who has already had his "top" done ... and he is amazing ... with sideburns and all ... you would never know in a million years. Personally, I think gender transformation is an amazing thing ... because gender is so "core" to identity. I mean, what is the first thing you ask when you hear someone has had a baby: boy or girl, right. Or if you see someone far away on a hill on the horizon, what is the first thing you try to identify in your mind, man or woman, right? So, I think gender transformation is a fascinating thing to read about ... or to answer your question more directly, to experiment with. (I've never tried it myself because I'm barely 5' and 109 pounds and I could never pull it off in a million years ... but it is something I would try if I could get away with it.) And I do think that "Alan Barrie" must have had a girl help him write A WOMAN'S PASSION because his writing about a woman's sexual response is so right on. Michele
