Review: Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask
Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask
Animal
Marked for Deletion after merged into the Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask record. Sara 11/28/07 In Majoras mask the main character in the beggining is transferred into a little plantlike creature called a deku scrub, and later on can also transform into a Goron or a Zora as well.

The Gorgon is a large stone creature that lives in the northern mountains. A Zora is a water creature that lives in the Western Ocean. The Deku Scrub is a small tree like creature. All of these transformations occur by wairing masks. This allows Like to take on the form of the person that the mask resembles.

Majora's Mask is the sequel to Ocarina of Time, and the 6th Zelda game in the series (though, chronologically, it's the second). Link, as a child, travels to the alternate dimension of Termina in Alice in Wonderland style, chasing a masked Skull Kid who stole his ocarina and horse, Epona.

In the game, Link collects masks after completing different tasks and the like (masks being very culturally significant in Japan), and five masks allow him to transform into different forms, taking on the body of whatever it was that he got the mask from. The three animal-like ones are:

Deku Mask--turns Link into a nameless, wooden, plant-like creature that can shoot bubbles.
Goron Mask-- turns Link into the form of Darmani, a proud Goron warrior. Gorons are big, stone-eating "ogres" you could say, who live in the mountains.
Zora Mask-- turns Link into the form if Mikau, a famous, girl-pleasin' Zora rocker. Zoras are basically white-skinned fish people who live in rivers, lakes and tidal seas.

Majora's Mask is a really cool game. It's different from other Zeldas because it has an internal clock that resets every three days (Termina is threatened by a menacing moon that will crash... in three days), so you need to time things and set aside plans each time you play, which was a very different experience. Definitely, absolutely worth adding to your collection if you are into RPGs/Adventure games, or just have a N64 you need to dust off. Zelda fanatics are already enjoying it; why shouldn't you? ;p

yes but the game is only good when you have saved yourself from the crashing moon the first time, because you only have about 45 min. real time to do it all in. The game is good in that certain things happen on certain days, like how the town deserts on day 3, the lady gets robbed at about midnight on the third night, It is raining on the second day, allowing you to grow the seeds without watering, etc. A good game overall.
