Review: Dame tu Cuerpo
Dame tu Cuerpo
Gender
This is a Mexican movie about a man and a woman that switch bodies. I saw the trailer on TV. I think it is a 'Pon un Hombre en tu Vida' combined with 'Dating the Enemy'.

Is it the body which concerns or the soul of the loved person, that is one of the questions that try to respond to the film ' Dame your cuerp, Mexican comedy directed by Rafael Montero and who was presented/displayed to mass media.

The film narrates the history of three people who see themselves in jams. Germa'n and Alex are two great friends; Germa'n is about to marry with Jacqueline, who does not support the machista attitude, libidinous and vulgarity of Alex.

This triangle has a point in common solely: Germa'n. When Alex and Jackie do not stop discussing and criticizing one to the other, the situation bothers an uncomfortable Germa'n, who yearns for his fiance and his best friend to get along better.

During the goodbye as a single person of Germa'n, he is with "guru" Cangaceiro Call, who asks Germa'n to request a desire, and the only thing that he requests is that Alex and Jackie are better understood one to the other.

Germa'n is very enamored with his engaged Jacqueline, a handsome woman, owner of an agency of models. Alex, trainer of american football, is the best friend of Germa'n, but between Jacqueline and Alex there is no chemistry. One night in which there is a strange planetary alignment, Germa'n requests a desire: that Jacqueline and Alex are understood.

That night a series of astrological phenomena in fact combine and turn the desire of Alex into reality, but not as he wanted, because his friend and his fiance interchange souls. In the following morning the souls of Jacqueline and Alex change bodies, the forces of the nature have taken part to fulfill the desire of the groom to be, and from that moment the problems begin.
The main problem is that the wedding between Germa'n and Jackie is immenent. It will be in mere days...

Meanwhile, Jacqueline, in the body of Alex, must train men with American football equipment.

On the other hand Alex, within the body of Jackie, will have to work between women without being able to get together with one, because she is a designer of fashions for models.

Now, these two personages will have to try to understand the other living their life, and mingling with the opposite sex, with all the sensations and visions of the world that never before had experienced.
It is as well as this Mexican film portrays the adventures and anxieties of the three personages, who in their eagerness to find the solution to the problem try everything, from going with a hypnotist to being made the subnject of scientific experiments.

'Dame your cuerp counts on the performances of Rafael Navarrese Sanchez (Alex); Lux Maria Zetina (Jacqueline); Pedro T. Alvarez (Germa'n); Patricio Castle (father of Jacqueline); Isabel daisy (mother of Jaqueline); Daniel Martinez (Tieto); Jorge Zrate (Peter Bread); Safe Vernica (Grace); Jorge Sepulveda (Mauri); Robert Rivers Raki (Cangaceiro), and Juan Carlos Serrn (Galileo Tonatiuh).
The tape, that lasts 90 minutes, is original idea of Pedro Alvarez and Giorgio Avataneo and was produced by the Perrada Films, S.A. and VideoCine, S. A.
For the record:
Filmed totally in digital format, this tape of the (1st time?) producer as the Perrada Films were exhibited already in Muestra de Cine de Guadalajara, receiving not very good critics of the audience.
