Male shapechanger briefly assumes the form of Rebecca in order to take out hero. Very brief, but interesting concept.

On an interesting (but disgusting)note, the shapeshifter does not "morph" into a new form - he sheds his "disguise" much like a snake sheds its skin.
This is only shown briefly and we never actually see him change *into* anyone onscreen.

It was OK.....but with no onscreen morph or seeing him take her place and short at that and then immedniately goes back to previous form it was very minor. I would have liked to have seen more.

I've been watching SUPERNATURAL since the season began. The show is okay so far. It's pretty much an X-Files monster of the week series with two brothers trying to find their father and battling bad things along the way. Even some of the veteran directors from X-Files have been directing this show.

So much like the previous reviews... the episode with the Shapeshifter is a bit of a disappointment for us TF fans. The Shapeshifter itself pretty much sticks to becoming other men (except for a brieg one minute scene where he has become a woman to trick one of the brothers).

There really is no scene where we see the Shapshifter transition from one person to another. However... the one scene we do see him shedding his skin came close. My eyes lit up as I saw what appeared to be The Shapeshifter shedding his skin and transforming into someone else. The EFX work was pretty good as we could see skin ripping, muscles and bone reforming and pulsating. I was praying we'd get a glimpse of the guy starting to form a female body... but it pretty much cut to a commercial before any of that happened ARGGGGG.

Maybe they did have a scene and it was too risky for the WB. Who knows... I guess we can cross our fingers and hope when they release the DVD... maybe they had more to the scene than what they showed on air.

In this episode, Dean, the older brother is replaced and kidnaps younger brother and tries to seduce a female friend. I was hoping for more sinister plot and scenes, like Shapey stripping Dean, tranforming into him and dressing but it skipped all that :( Still not too bad!!
