'Witches' Brew' is based on the Fritz Leiber book 'Conjure Wife',
which was also filmed before as Weird Woman' and 'Burn, Witch,
Burn'. I have not read the entire book or seen any of the movies,
but from what I've heard, the best version is 'Burn, Witch, Burn'.
A good site to visit for more information is the Internet Movie

Donald and Judy are a couple who find themselves in a game of
witchcraft. When a mysterious woman convinces Judy to try on a
magical necklace, the old woman switches their souls. Soon Donald
realizes that something is wrong. He tricks the witch into thinking
that Judy has cancer and they switch back. Then Donald kills the
witch and buries her. Years later, she comes back and this time
she's got a special surprise for him.

"Burn, Witch, Burn" is aka as "The Night of Eagle" 1962, in Black
and White film.
I've read Fritz Leiber's "Conjure Wife", which the ending is a
happy ending, can't say the same for "Witches' Brew"

Is Witches's Brew (1980) is the same as Weird Woman(1980)?

I just got finished reading the "Conjure Wife" and I wasn't
disappointed . It had me in suspense ! I was shoched to find out
that Leiber was still alive in the 90's( I thought he'd passed back
in the 70's)
Leiber did a solid story from start to end . My goal now is to get
the movie "Witche's Brew" because some of the reviews were lukewarm
, but I've always liked Terri Garr . I like Lana Turner as well ;
she was a hhoottt BABE in the black and white movies and this was
her LAST movie . If this movie adaptation followed the book 60% ,
in a up to date fashion, then its worth the buy! It's on VHS (1980
production yr.)but then alot of good movies are still on this
format .
I'll post up some info on this flick when I spotcheck it soon . . .
.standby . . . .
