This could have been a halfway decent episode if they hadn't had
Lum eat the seeds. That part did it for me. This will forever be
the lowest point in the series.

Yesterday, in our RPG session our party killed a troll. They cut it
into pieces. I see, pieces regenerates into full trolls. (manofwar,
gigantress, necron99 etc). Or they are doppelgangsters? Have to
scan MM.

This looks like a really cool episode. A must-have. I plan to order
it tomorrow. Thanks for the info, everyone.
Meanwhile, I have never really understood the extreme emotions by
people who don't like furry fantasies. What is it? I don't think
people who are into furry stuff are REALLY into beastiality. They
just think slightly animalistic humans are sexy. Now, I probably
would never be interested in anyone in a full animal suit, but I
think girls wearing bunny ears or fox tails are EXTREMELY sexy.
What is someone who hates furry changes doing in a metamorphosis
board anyway?
I just don't get the hatred.
And furry isn't my favorite change anyway. I prefer SW and BE. But
I am MOST interested in seeing the process of change...
Oh, well....

I've seen this episode and read the manga story it is based on. Not
what I would consider a must have, but if you are really a hardcore
fan of Urusei Yatsura, then I guess it's worth buying. It lacks the
charm of the other Kitsune episodes and some of the tender episodes
such as "After You've Gone" and "Pitter Patter Christmas Eve". To
be honest, I found this episode to be rather boring.
Personally, I have nothing against the transformation scene.
However, I find it rather unusual that they would have them turn
into foxes, only to become half-foxes shortly thereafter. This
makes their transformation into foxes seem rather pointless and
wasted. Why not have the characters just become half-foxes upon
eating the seeds? I don't see how that would butcher the manga
story or weaken the plot of the episode.

1. yes.
2. not explained in the episode. for some they reason they don't
become kitsunes, but the show's main characters do. hurray for
plotholes!
3. pretty low. I don't recommend it.
4. they freak out and contemplate suicide. kitsune just lols at
them.
5. not explained in the episode. keep the plotholes comin.
6. cuz they suck.

After showing this episode i'ts director and all leading animators
were fired. :)
5.Why do the characters become half foxes?
Because acorns were for one dose. If Sakura eat them all, she would
become fox for life. But tiny portion causes only minute TF which
soon wears away.
6.Why don't Cherry and Kotatsu-Neko become half-foxes?
Because they are already spirit-touched.
