Geez use E before I or to instead of too and all of a sudden im chinese. English is my first language and yeah I make spelling mistakes. But in a world where the english language is getting replaced by "r u a dood" and "wre u b at" I think coming up with 3 ways to spell different in the space of one comic can be taken with a grain of salt.

You're certainly not coming off as being any more literate here, especially misusing an idiom like 'to take [something with a grain of salt' the way you just did. Don't whine when someone takes you to task over your spelling, use a spell checker or get someone to proofread for you. You'll come off as much less of a (defensive) idiot that way.

Tell you what 'guest', if the standard of english offends you then don't read the fantastic poser comics icolan has made.

Icolan, keep up the good work and don't let small minded petty idiots influence you.

Got to love people that are so smart they don't understand something is a joke. I mean I didn't just make fun of the whole to to two thing about 2 seconds earlier or anything...

You're a rare breed Icolan... you're one of the few who are creating new content and offering it up for free. And on top of that you have a healthy sense of humor. Taking nothing seriously, especially the bad mouthing from anonymous cowards, is like putting salt on leeches. They quickly fall back into the dark waters from which they creeped :)

Sorry I thought the whole bad speller/english must be a second language thing was kind of funny. I IMed Holly when I saw it and we both thought it was a riot.

Just so Im clear though Im very glad the person that wrote that liked my stuff. Thats the only reason for me to post it really, because other people enjoy it. And Im pretty happy that he actually took the time and effort to write the post. I just thought that the conclusion was funny. Thats all. There was nothing malicious on either of our parts.

If citizenship is based on spelling the population would drop by like half. Add in knowing where the states are on a map and we would be left with just enough people to fill Rhode Island.

I'm not two (JOKE HERE) worried about being accused of being illiterate. I think I've written a bit much for that to be true. I'm the first to admit I can't spell very well but being dyslexic and lazy I gave up trying many years ago.

It would be a pain in the ass to put every little bubble into word to check it and I've thought about getting someone to proof but when I'm finished I want to post more then wait on someone to get it back to me. If bad spelling and grammar throw you in to fits stay away from my stuff I guess. This is recreation for me not homework.

Maybe if it was a pay site and I had to cater to paying customers I would do all that and more but its free and you get what you pay for.

I'm also the first to admit I'm an idiot. I've done some pretty stupid things in the past and I'll probably do a bunch more before I'm done. So that doesn't really bother me either.

There have been anonymous critics sniping at anything and everything they can possible get away with long before the net. Want to snipe or critique? Do it better then I am first otherwise... well nothing I say will stop it so I just don't let it bug me.

I wish people could be a bit more clever about it. May as well just post u suk. It would save me some time reading

I was joking about the second language thing!!! Man when people take this too seriously (by the way I read about it on a stupid post on another blog and laughed my ass off!!!), then they should never read this at all.
Icolan, I know you don't take it to heart and I wish the others didn't. Just stop the bickering and I'm sorry if I offended anyone it was not my intention. His work is top notch and I neither have the skill nor time to attempt to do it.
I did contribute to his cause and will again.
Thank Icolan!!!

The tongue in cheek (or out of cheek) :-P
and the smiley :-) (sometimes with a wink) ;-)
sure go a long way towards giving the flat, lifeless text some trace of spicy human emotion.

... of course, I tend to overuse them greatly! :-P
