Nope there is no male entity possessing any females. Technically in
our niche eyes, it's kinda like remote control as the one
possessing doesn't lose control of their body when jumping into a
different body but the characters in the movie keep saying it as
possession

Mind control and possession are not always the same thing. You
wouldn’t watch the exorcist and say the girl was mind controlled by
the demon because it is technically inside of her body. Generic
Guest Name is spot on about it being more like remote control, just
wouldn’t call it possession imo.

I would almost call it "puppeteering", as we often see the victim
mimicking the hand movements etc of the one controlling.
