From my brief experience this is LIGHTYEARS ahead of the AI video competition.

I generated five m2f videos so far and here are all of them. The success rate is so much greater than anything I have experienced.

When I started generating the videos the wait time was 2-3 minutes. Most users will be from China so during waking hours there it should be very busy. I tried a different browser and it is letting me generate more lol. Yeah, I hope the wait time becomes more reasonable.

Oh, and I think you can have multiple videos waiting to generate so it's not like you have to wait for to generate before posting the script for the next one.

For those who don't know how to share files online I would recommend tansfernow.net which is what I used.

Free and no sign up. Just upload file and get link. All they asked me was my email but I didn't even need to confirm it was mine. The link is good for 7 days.

Ok, I just got back my results (I did Chinese translations as a precaution) . . it's pretty damn good. It seems to follow instructions much better than like Hailuo. It's a shame it takes hours per iteration since some of the generations I got back had really tiny problems like the characters not being attractive enough or not reacting to the possession quite as much as I would like. But I'd still consider it 5/5 with all the generations, there weren't any where I was like "WTF is this?" or felt like it completely disregarded a part of my instructions. I also wish we could get a few more seconds. Why is 6 the default? Why can't it be like 10?

USE THIS WHILE IT'S FREE!!! We know how all these AI generation services operate by now. We're on borrowed time, so make the most of it before it's paywalled.

Here's a prompt I tried that I'd like to see more of. I think there's a little too much going to fit within 6 seconds but it still works for the most part

I'm not why your videos are 6 seconds long (wasn't that Hailuo?). All of my videos I am getting from Seedance are 10 seconds long exactly. I'm not sure why yours are shorter.

I was about to say I've been using veo 3.1 and those are 8 seconds. The extra 2 seconds definitely open more possibilities. It's crazy but literally every second added is a game changer.

One comment on what I've seen. There are certain prompts that I tried with veo 3 but stopped because the success rate was so low. For instance that basketball idea I tried with veo 3 and the results I got were just meh (at best). Those two basketball videos are BOTH better than anything I ever got (by far) using veo 3.1. So I'm going to be experimenting with other prompts and ideas I had and abandoned because the results were poor.

To reiterate what Polover said, do this while it's free.

And someone wanted the prompt for the Olympic swimmer one. I copied a veo 3.1 prompt I'd been using and forgot to adjust the first part where I ask for 8 seconds (seedance ignored this request thankfully) but here is the prompt. It is very long and detailed and I was impressed by how well seedance followed it, especially given that it is Chinese and not English. Isn't it strange how a Chinese company follows English instructions better than those companies in the USA?

Prompt: A cinematic 8-second scene on a sunny beach outside a rocky cave entrance, with gentle waves crashing in the background and seagulls calling faintly. Start with a medium shot of Matt, a white man in his 30s wearing casual beach clothes like shorts and a t-shirt, holding an ancient-looking lamp casually in one hand, standing relaxed and excited, saying with anticipation, "I wish I was an Olympic swimmer." Beside him stands the genie, an ordinary middle-aged man in mismatched, outdated clothes like a vest and pants from a bygone era, no makeup or magical auras, just a subtle air of mystery. After Matt finishes speaking, the genie closes his eyes briefly in quiet concentration, as if effortlessly altering reality with a mere thought, then opens them again.

von---thanks much for the swimmer prompt. I tried a bit last night, but the VPN I first tried didn't have a China option, so couldn't get very far. If it's not too much to ask, would you be willing to try a similar prompt? Just make it a redhead? And maybe instead of an olympic swimmer, something like the women's swim team coach?

Or possibly----it seems Seedance is willing to do celebrities----have you tried any morphs into any of them?

The honey moon might be over. Every acccount I have is asking for a chinese phone number. But I think I am done with veo 3.1. It just feels so very obsolete. I'd rather pay seedance when it comes out than veo 3.1.

I've started to share my generations on my channel. On Day 2 I have been getting some issues. Multiple times I got a request refusal saying my prompt was infringing copyrighted material, even though I made up the scenario on my own and wasn't using any known character names. One time this happened to my English prompt and then I translated it to Chinese and it went through. Another time even the Chinese didn't work.

My IP might also be blocked at this point because I am getting an error with no explanation, only a red exclamation mark every time I submit a prompt now (even ones that worked before), and I had only generated 3 videos at that point. We'll see if I can get back on tomorrow :')

Got VPN up, tried a bunch----but almost every time, it said it was unable, a few times it said copyright (even when it was a very generic situation), a few times it'd do it but make pictures not a video (despite including the "generate video not image" line once or twice per prompt), and the one time it actually said it would generate that video (with language VERY similar to how Gemini/VEO does), it stopped after like 5 secs and said it couldn't. Might try again in a couple hours, when it should be minimal activity with everyone in China asleep for sure.
