@kreplach great videos! Any chance you could share some of the
prompts? Particularly the first one, you've got it to do a
transition rather than an instance change, which is what I'm
struggling with

I don't think I have figured out how to "get it" to do anything
consistently. The way it interprets a line, word or phrase from a
prompt is very random and inconsistent. It does tend to be literal.
I tried "slowly transforms" and it just waited a while then did a
poof change near the end. Another funny example, I was trying to do
a medallion effect where the man was already wearing female clothes
which I said in the prompt were too small for him and then fit
after transforming. Rather than just "woman's clothes too small for
normal sized man" it made the character fat, both before and after
transforming. That one wasn't a keeper.
In the video you're mentioning, Polecat, I don't have the prompt
anymore but I'm sure that I did not say anything that resulted in a
transition effect. Sometimes you just luck out. If at first you
don't succeed... I have discovered that the limit to the number of
videos it lets you create in a 24 hour period is fewer than 30,
lol. I've had some
success with something like "We see close-ups of different body
parts as they transform" but it is usually like a line where it
changes above and below as it moves up rather than something that
seems like a body reshaping.
Another frustration is sometimes I will use the same prompt or
change it slightly but not in any suggestive way and the second
time it results in the dreaded Content Policy Violation. I think it
runs the check after the video is created before it's returned to
Drafts so if what it came up with exposes more skin than its
ridiculously high modesty standard you're out of luck. I've tried
specifying clothing with mixed results. Seems like it's better to
let it use its default which is usually something like boots, jeans
and a sweater covering another shirt.
I'm looking forward to the day when you can have a chat dialog with
it like for an image prompt and tell it specifically how to change
the previous result, though I'm guessing even that won't work very
well initially.
All that said, I do like the technology for goofing around.
Especially since you can cast yourself in the videos. Its likelness
of me and replication of my voice are scarily concerning.

Sora 2 now allows you to make cameos of generated characters. This
opens the door to character consistency and longer narrative
content

anon, if you're referring to the Create Character feature they are
not yet allowing it for "realistic human" characters, only animals
or animated creatures. Is there another way to create a cameo from
a previously generated video? I haven't found it.

anon, I take it back. You can't upload a video with a human
character but they did add a "Create Character" option from a
generated video. It's not available on a video that started with an
actual cameo, unfortunately.
