Is James Ward okay?
From: guest (124235a) , 5 months, post #1
Haven’t had any Theee Degrees off Center updates in over a month now. Radio silence.

From: guest (Ncd) , 5 months, post #2
I remember somewhere on here or on one of his videos that he had a surgery years ago for a condition that he still deals with to this day, which may be why there are long gaps in videos. I hope he is ok and in good health.

" Thanks so much! I'd love to film with people in person again, but at present it's not really that safe for me to do so. Last year I had a kidney transplant and have been dealing with rejection issues, so they've been REALLY surprising my immune system, so can't really be around people, especially inside for long periods of time. So to answer your question, not at the moment, but maybe someday."

I wish he would pivot off of the quarantine leap stuff. The main character isn't a character at this point. It's just "who can we talk into doing the clothes montage now" and there's ZERO ongoing story.

From: guest (Guest) , 5 months, post #5
I agree to post #4. The quarantine leap stuff isnt fun no more for our interest in tg genre. Id rather have a new videos like the ones he produced a while back. But above that, i hope he and his family is doing fine.

From: guest (unknown lurker) , 5 months, post #6
pretty sure what they are doing is what he can handle right now...i wish him the best!

From: guest , 5 months, post #7
Y'all are getting too greedy at this point. Let the man rest and make any content that he wants. He's been making contents for decades he's allowed to make any shit he wants.

Looks like James is uploading a video tomorrow. I'm glad; with his health issues, I worry when he disappears for lengthy periods of time.

From: guest (Quarantine Leap Hater) , 5 months, post #9
James has produced some of my favourite videos in this genre and some of the Quarantine Leap episodes are amazing (OnlyFans Girl, Cheerleader, Amnesia) but yeah I lost interest in it a long time ago and it’s a pity it’s all he does now

From: guest , 5 months, post #10
I won’t hear a bad word spoken about him, he has always been friendly and open, and while he has had his own embuggerances to contend with he has given so much more to the community than anyone else in my opinion.

Just like Red Dwarf fans can complain when there is no new content, complain about new content, and complain when new content is suddenly cancelled, but really they should just be thankful for the memories, and that someone has tried to make entertainment for them to enjoy.

No one is above criticism either

From: guest , 5 months, post #12
Any James critics can stfu. He's been the best content producer for a very niche subject for like what, 15 years now? He has a medical problem, which would obviously make shooting content tough, and still finds a way to make a long running series that caters to the niche. Its not repetitive, its formulaic. Anyone bitching about someone making so many hours of content, despite his medical situation, needs to really check themselves. Shout out James man

From: guest , 5 months, post #13
being criticized is not an insult, it is necessary to develop better content

yes, james has been great for this community, and we all thank him, but his content is not changing. He has found a formula that works for his time frame with the level he is working from

defending james is good, thank you for that, but none of these people are wrong- you are not wrong

let James hear the complaints and the concern for his health and let him take it as he wants. I say this because you are not listening and you are lashing out out of loyalty and concern but you are not listening to what people are saying he needs to do to improve the content that he loves to develop

James, thank you, hope you are well, if you are not- I wish you better health

as far as your content, its gotten.... well, there are many complains, just read them and understand that they are not intended as attacks they are meant to improve what you love

best wishes

I believe criticism isn’t needed when someone is creating content out of their own time and money, and sharing it for free. Do you pay for it? If not, and you don’t enjoy it, then simply watch something else. This is someone who has been making original videos for decades, not because he owes anyone, but because he’s passionate about it. At the end of the day, he doesn’t have any obligation to listen to complaints—it’s his content, his project, and his choice.

Simply growing tired of a type of content (we are well past the quarantine era) where nearly every aspect of the video is vanilla and formulaic is not a stab at James; it's just that the audience wants something different. If he can produce something different because of health concerns, that is very fair. It just needs to be communicated if he is comfortable doing so. We are coming close to 100 episodes of the same thing. The protagonist hops in, gets adjusted to life, mandatory clothing showcase, and then hops to the next. This starts to become stale after 93... going on 100 episodes.

i don't have much to add as far as the discourse in this thread but i do want to say that i greatly appreciate James's contributions over the years. he's done far more for me than i've ever done dor him. His early work is so nostalgic for me. I tune in whenever he posts and if his work is making him happy then i'm glad he's still able to make time for projects he enjoys.

i remember being really shocked the first time i saw his first video about his condition. as long as it's still relevant in the thread i really hope he's okay! i hope whatever comes out next on the channel is something he's passionate about, whatever that may be. James is among the most legendary creators in this community.

and to anyone how prefers his older stuff: it's still available on his channel to watch!

From: guest (Also Interested) , 5 months, post #17
Dont like his content? Dont watch it. Make your own. He's doing what he can, when he can, you just come across as entitled and disrespectful for complaining. My two cents.

From: guest , 5 months, post #18
Complaints about free content are not criticism, especially when a creator has an embuggerance.

Might as well ask why he doesn’t have magical powers.

Criticism is measured not rambling insults or spitting out your dummies.

Yes we all wish he made content like he used to, yes we all wish he would make some more films, and I’m sure he does too. So can we instead just wish him well?

Also if you don’t like my criticism of you so called “critics” and your bitchiness then take this as an opportunity for learning.
