Lost Stories
From: guest (Xorg) , 18 days, post #1
There have been many many good stories lost over the time for one reason or the another maybe living only on somebody's device.

I want to call upon the community to share and help archive such stories like i have here
(I will continue to do so for whatever i find)

https://possessionportal.com/post/125

The more copies the better chance of it surviving and this also gives the chance for the community to enjoy them once again.

I have found and posted some classic stories here

will be posting more

The usenet group alt.sex.stories.tg used to be the main source for fiction before Fictionmania or the web even existed. I have kept some of my favorites from back then for my personal archives, but you can browse the group here (I must admit it seems to be mostly spam, but maybe there are still some stories in the archive): https://www.usenetarchives.com/threads.php?id=alt.sex.stories.tg&y=0&r=0&p=1

Most of the stories I have saved are from 1995 and 1996.

I think one problem in hosting some of these stories on a new site might be proving that you have the rights to do so, but I guess you could link directly to the archive site and let them do the hosting?

I occasionally browse fictionmania, tgstorytime, deviantart and literotica, but none of them really have a good, modern search system that would help me find stories that interest me. I think ultimately we'll be able to use large language models for story suggestions (and potentially remixes and new AI-generated stories based on your own preferences).

@Face Artist, Thanks for the link

Honestly I am willing to overlook the rights in favour of preserving content.

I do however DO NOT post stories which are actively commercialised or the author is still around the community to give consent.

Tobyredone an amazing author is not visible anymore in the community for some time so i think sharing his content for preservation is ok if he says otherwise.

Same can be said for other authors like Toxicallie

They've been an invaluable resource of our community with their creativiyty and efforts.

I just want to preserve all that for the next generation if you will, An author is truly dead when their work is forgotten.

Also it gives a modern interface (Both desktop and mobile) and better search for the stories with tags and all.

I like it -- if you remove stuff if the author requests it, I think it's probably fine? I certainly wouldn't mind people copying my stories and doing whatever with them.

I was unsure what direction to go with this with OutfoxStories.com too -- whether to allow reposts or not, and that's kind of what I settled on (and reposts not being monitisable)

Nicely done with the site btw, nice to see things happen.

Storage is cheap these days. I always suggest keeping copies of your favorites on your own computer.

From: guest (Xorg) , 17 days, post #10
@Guest Agreed!!!

Always keep local backups if you can, and if you any story in your backups that's bee long gone, post it for the community

If anyone has a copy of this I'd appreciate it. There's this one story that was deleted that I've been trying to find. It was titled Sanibel Swap: Mark and Julie. It was on fictionmania by RushLeaf. It took place in this hotel that swaps its guests. The story follows this one couple willingly returning and experiencing the swap all over again.

I think there were a number of stories posted to M2F possession groups on Yahoo Groups that are no longer available online (since Yahoo Groups is now defunct). If anyone has some of those archived, that would make a good addition as well.
