The Comos18 Halloween Special has gone up early: The Midnight
Costume Shop - https://youtu.be/3fROv8Wxp8g
A disparate group of four students need last minute party outfits
and find themselves at The Midnight Costume Shop, where the
shopkeeper makes them an offer they can't refuse. It's something of
an homage to camp eighties horror movies.
Includes gender transformations both ways, male to female and
female to male.
I also posted up another instalment in The Fembot Files a few weeks
back that I didn't post about at the time, link here:

Wan 2.5 now supports voice and it's way cheaper and great quality.

@Chimera - any answer I give about tools will probably be out of
date in a week or two. 'The Midnight Costume Shop' was mostly Veo 3
on Google Flow using a starting frame generated from references. It
took about a month to put together, but when I was nearly done,
Nano Banana came out and restrictions on importing images were
eased back, so that suddenly made things a bit easier. As Poinker
points out above, Wan 2.5 has just released and I want to try that
along with Wan 2.2 animate.
I used Kling 2.1 frame to frame on fal.ai for most of the
transformations, but hopefully Veo 3 frame to frame will be
releasing soon and be an improvement. ElevenLabs was helpful (and
free) for generating sound effects and voice changing some of the
Veo 3 voices to be consistent across clips (though the voice
changer retains the accent from the original audio unfortunately).
For me, the key things when making AI videos are:
1) Generating from starting frames rather than relying on text. If
the starting image is right, I can get a good video generation
within a couple of tries (unless it's something the AI is hopeless
at like people walking through doors). The starting image also
means you can avoid obvious AI biases, like always centring the
subject in the middle of frame.
2) Music and sound effects. Veo 3 (and now Wan 2.5) can add both,
but extra sound effects are sometimes needed to punch up a scene
and music that continues across multiple clips has to be added
separately in the edit. Good sound makes a video many times better.
3) Editing. AI generated video clips almost always take too long to
get going and/or keep going too long. Any video that's edited down
to just the good bits will also be massively improved.
Hope that's of some help!

I totally agree with you, Comos, extra sound and editing are the
keys for a good (and original) video! And it avoids ending up with
John clenching his fists in front of the mirror and transforming
himself into a pretty blonde with curly hair 50 times per video.

Thank you Cosmos18. Your Midnight Costume Shop has the makings of a
fantastic series. The first episode was a brilliant setup that
nearly explained everything, while still leaving enough for us new
fans to speculate on, such as what the source of the magic is and
if there are any detectives searching for missing people and
presumed serial killers. My only critique would be not to kill
anyone off, but to turn them into costumes at the end of the
episodes.

What is the main application/program/service being used here? Is it
Veo3 via Gemini? Is it Flow? Or is it something else?
