Downloaded a Japanese drama series called konya wa Kokoro dake.
It's about a mother and her daughter switching bodies. I skimmed
through the episodes It's comedic heartwarming and as i watch
through the episodes i was waiting for them to swap back. Waited
for the final episode so they can swap back and I'm watching the
final episode only 10mins remaining they didn't swap back only 5
mins remaining they didn't swap back the show ended they didn't
swap back. This freak the fkout of me man
The mother is like 47 years old and the daughter is 17 years old,
the mother basically got a second chance at life and the daughter
lost 30 years of her life, the daughter is a 47 year old single
women. She lost everything her friends, her life, her body.
In friction people swap bodies to have a great understanding of
each others lives, learn a lesson and turn back, but that didn't
happen here, wtf happened here, i'm soo confused about this ending
if anyone watched this please do tell what do you think about this
ending, or permanent swaps in general

I don't think swapping back should be expected or mandatory.
I like to play a mental game where I imagine having the ability to
transform to look like someone else (effectively swap with them, if
you like), but I have to stay in the transformation for a set
amount of time or indefinitely.
I pick a time period (something like 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1
year, forever) and then I pick the person that I would become for
that period. Sometimes I reverse this and start with the person and
then decide what's the longest time I would commit to looking like
that person. I'm finding I'm quite picky when it comes to
"forever", but much more adventurous if it's just a for a limited
time.
I do find that if I could choose freely, I would choose to
transform even if it was forever, but I would definitely at least
try to "trade up". And yes, I would change gender (to a female) -
that much is guaranteed.

the daughter basically fell in love with the older man who runs the
restaurant or is it a bar I forgot and choose to stay in the older
body to marry him

@face artist That's really interesting, so if you swap you want to
be like that forever, would you not miss the life you had before,
the things you work to accomplish, the relationships you build up,
or perhaps you like to swap and still keep the life you had before
only change the gender
For me i think it's about being the person i love and building a
bond between us I think, i role play this in my head every time
before i go to bed, having some else's life is soo fascinating to
me, after having my "fun" i want to swap back, that's the thing for
me, it's interesting to see that we have basically the same thing
but it goes different routes
