Ugh I don’t suggest watching that made me feel sick and uncomfortable

At some point it gave me Jeckyll and Hyde vibes, with Elisabeth being Jeckyll and Sue becoming Hyde.

I thought it was an amazingly crazy movie. Def coulda been a little shorter but I did not see it going so over the top in the ending that I was pretty much laughing through it.
In terms of the transformation I was still a little let down but only barely. I liked the effects showing the pushing and pulsating of the back and the split itself. My absolute favorite part though was showing the pupil split and kinda slip back behind the eyeball and then later showing the 2 fully formed eyeballs in the eyesocket looking like they're competing for space. gave me Junji ito vibes.
The part where I was let down though was I was hoping for just a bit more was showing her younger self crawling out of her. It barely showed an elbow poking out before it cut to the space odyssey style lights and then we get the first person pov of her outside her older body.
Coulda used some more scenes of showing the younger self enjoying her new body.
All in all I enjoyed it but totally can see it turning people off for its sheer shock and spectacle on literally every level.

7.5/10

9/10 if you have an ass fetish

Well, I think the movie is aiming to make people sick and uncomfortable.

The movie isn't going for a sexy, escapist fantasy. Its a satirical, surrealist body horror film. Its not meant to be pleasant.

It's the problem with these kind of movies where we don't know when the lines are drawn between the halves. I've read that some point to the first moment that Sue goes overtime that the mind was broken. However, to go into Jekyll and Hyde, Hyde is the manifestation of Jekyll's internal desires. Sue here is that quantity. Elizabeth wants that world back, but can't. Honestly I would recommend Requiem For A Dream if you want a similar vibe.

Look for a short film of the same director, Reality+, which uses the same themed but isn't disgusting and has a more positive tone.

Plus it stars Vanessa Hessler, who looks too good to be true.

Dunno if its an popular/unpopular opinion but personally Margaret Qualley is a miscast in this film
Could have used someone more sensual/seductive
