I've just read the comments about all the types of English spoken
in this thread. Surely that just emphasises the strength of the
language. The adaptability and lax rule-set of English means every
version is as valid as another.

If I can remember from history, the reason that you lot speak
English is because we colonised America from the late 15th
Century...

"The first seeds of America were planted at Jamestown, Virginia,
the first permanent English settlement in what is today the United
States of America. The first English settlers arrived at Jamestown
in 1607; the first German, in 1608."

What point are you making? Don't hide behind links. Your entry is
pointless if you don't make your opinion clear right here, right
now. To nick a phrase from a TV advert, "Speak English, boy!"

This is way off topic.

My point is that English people did not colonize america before
1607 and that people from other countries followed a few months
later.
English people don't even represent the majority of the ancestors
of today's US citizens.
So English being the de facto official language of the US can not
be attributed to the earlier colonization.

Right. You have finally made your point. Better late than never.
Why didn't you say this at the start. (sigh). So off
topic...............

Sorry to belabour the language thing but is this film dubbed? Does
it have English subtitles? For a non-Portugese speaker, is it worth
trying to get hold of? Obrigado.

The first one is dubbed. I bought a copy from Amazon, I enjoyed it.
It was one of the most popular movies made in Brazil that year. The
actress is excellent.

So does this movie have a good amount of tg? Like does the married
couple have sex while swapped? And are there any moments in which
the husband struggles to get dressed in his wife's clothes or walk
in her heels?
