you speak a form of portuguese but only in portugal do they speak proper portuguese just like in scotland they speak english but slightly diferent they also speak scotish gaailec

How in the hell did you work that one out? Please tell me you was being Ironic, If I can remember from history, the reason that you lot speak English is because we colonised America from the late 15th Century...

The theory I read is that Americans and Canadians speak a dialect of English that was the norm in England in the 16th century or so and that they retained a form of that accent, whereas the accent in the UK evolved and changed to today's form.
