I really hope there is a better transformation sequence than the
other versions. I don't hate them but they are all cheap af. It's
been over a decade since the last lalola so hopefully the
technology to have a good transformation is cheaper.

I doubt it because they will try to mimic the lalola tropes of
previous lalolas. The best we could hope for is growing breasts and
butt and shrinking hands and feet under the bed sheets. And the
breasts and butt part are wishful thinking. Maybe better
exploration scene at least grab the female body parts show cleavage
something smh

This version seems to be tweeking the old formula a little. The
daughter is Lalo's daughter and Lalo's close friend appears to be
male instead of female. The mother is going to play a prominent
role. This is good because who wants to wait 10 years only to do a
carbon copy of the previous versions? So am very interested in what
they have in store. I found out that the daughter in the series has
some singing talent. Not related to lalola but maybe still

The Philippines Lalola, the close friend was male.

While true, what did you expect when it came to the other versions?
Most of the Lalolas tended to just adapt the story line of the
original, so of course it was a carbon copy. The Philippines one
stands out as the more unique story line with the Russian one being
second as they had to come up with original episodes after
exhausting the original.

Looks like a release date of Feb 2. Unfortunately, for my taste, it
looks like it will be more like Lola Chile or El y Ella from

This interview doesn't really talk up the romance part of the
story. Everywhere else on the Internet this show has been called a
romantic comedy and a journey in which Lola learns what love is.
The character clearly goes through a mental metamorphosis that
Barbara doesn't get into in the interview.

Does anyone know a place to watch all of episode 54 of the
Philippines Lalola? It's one of the most important episodes and I
always found it strange, that part 3 of the YouTube video cuts out
early and never shows the ending to the episodes.
