I truly, truly, truly hope they show her struggles being dressed up
and dolled up in sexy lingerie - thongs and bra - by a female
friend, and struggling when she knows she is truly a man, but now
thinks as a heterossexual woman and starts to fall for a big macho,
imagine if Facundo is a rival of his male persona...
Hopefully there will be an episode she goes to Cancun and struggles
having to dress up in a sexy bikini...

@post #23. I don't speak the Filipino language, so please excuse me
for any errors in my interpretation. Lalo wrongs a woman who is
from a coven of mystic witches living out in the forest or jungle.
The woman commits suicide. The sisters of the victim make a spell
to turn Lalo into a woman. The coven discovers this and punish the
two sisters. They turn one onto a rabbit and make another one ugly.
They try to change him back, but are unsuccessful. he remaining
system places a second curse on Lalola to make him fall in love
with the first man he sees.

Looks like they are done shooting the series or first season of
Mexican Lalola. Hope that means that it will debut by Fall. Seems a
bit soon to wrap shooting, though. No way they could shoot 144
episodes (original series length) in six weeks.

Its projected to have a 2 season format, because of being for a
streaming platform now. The shooting took 74 days so yeah, I have
no clue how many episodes that might entice.

I read they typically shoot one telenovella episode in a ten hour
day. 5 days per week x 6 weeks is 30. Six days per week would be 36
complete episodes. Obviously no way to know if they are on track
for that. Also, the episodes could be 30 minute or instead of an
hour, which would mean they may have shot more. No way to know.
Hope it is a good sign the show will be on fairly soon.

There hasn’t been a mainstream, US, gender Bender since on TV or
films since Tootsie and Bosom Buddies in the 80s. Blake Edward’s
Switch was a flop in the early 90s. The mainstream US finds the
concept of a man literally losing his penis and experiencing a
woman’s perspective too radical and uncomfortable. Especially these
days. I doubt we’ll ever see a Lalola in the U.S. And after seeing
how talented Rhea Seahorn was in Better Call Saul I feel cheated
out of seeing her in Eva Adams.

Yeah I just dont see it being that groundbreaking, even in the
spanish speaking community, let alone anything US. Specially
considering its a platform exclusive and the fact that its most
likely going to be extremely average / mediocre for the mainstream
viewer (for the community im hoping it fulfills any and all of our
expectations and kinks.)
We can always hope, but dont be foolish at that. Lets just see how
this turns out first.
I also agree 100% that the biggest robbery to the world was not
letting Rhea Seehorn shine as Eva Adams back in the day...
