Uhhh are you sure is legit? People said new Lalola coming in the
past and it never came or proven to be false.

I'd prefer it to be like the Lola version from Chile rather than
Argentina.

So just verifying that info. Yes, it is a fact. A new Lalola is
being developed by Televisa for their streaming platform VIX.
Several mexican news outlets, including Dori Media (the production
house of the original Lalola), have reported said development and
the start of filming. Our new Lola will be played by the gorgeous
Barbara de Regil, which is probably the best part of all this. If
you follow her ig, she is posting some random and messy shots about
the production taking place. With all this being said, it will most
likely be ready for release in mid 2024. Considering the standard
Televisa has, this just might be the best adaptation in terms of
budget. Also mexican soap operas tend to place their actresses in
very tasteful and sexy outfits so I personally have high hopes for
this one.

Wasn't there supposed to be an earlier Mexican version? I think
they even announced an actress but I don't remember her name (Maria
Torres maybe?).

I honestly wouldn't know. My guess is that maybe it was being
developed but got reworked into this project instead. However this
time it is confirmed so theres that. Whenever it comes out it will
be exclusive for the mexican streaming platform VIX+. It has also
been reported that it will be split into two seasons.

of this year

The actress Bárbara de Regil that is going to play Lola is in a
movie on Vix called Quiero Tu Vida. Judging by the trailer it looks
like there are a few scenes of her in lingerie and swimsuits. Vix
has the Argentina Lalola available to stream.

Nope. That movie is already out on VIX+. Shes in it. But she's also
playing Lola in this new mexican remake.

Bárbara de Regil in an 85 episode Telenovela called Cabo
which also streams on Vix. It looks like Cabo
recently ended. The episodes are free to check out with the Vix
app. The commercials on the free version of Vix are a bit painful
to sit through. They play up to 6 at a time ranging from 20-30
seconds. If you are FF'ing to look for her you might have to wait a
bit. Fortunately she is in the first scene of episode 1.

In 2007, Lalola was released on television, just 2 years after 66
year old Martha Stewart was released from Prison. 25 y.o. Beyonce
was on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Heidi
Klum was amongst the oldest Victoria Secret models, probably
getting pressured to step aside, and Adriana Lima was in her prime.
Lalola was set at a men's magazine. While VS is not a magazine,
back in the day a lot of men sure picked up the VS catalogue.
In 2023, the VS Fashion show doesn't exist and 81 year old Martha
Stewart is the cover model for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit
issue.
So where will the new Lalola work? What will be different in the
2023 iteration of Lalola compared to 2007?

Im also curious what theyll change on this one. My guess is that
theyll keep most of what made the original iconic but including
some of the aspects from the most recent iterations, like gay best
friends (despite already having casted graces character so idk
maybe some recurring character.) But also shit that you could only
get away with in 2007 and not 2023 will be most likely gone, like
jokes and some minor storylines regarding gender and whatnot

It would be great, if they followed something similar to the
chinese version, because after transformation the MC still keeps
wearing his suits which wore as a male, but later in the episodes
he does wear women cloths, and even breast pads but comes back to
wearing suits again. Also the story ending completely different and
weird were everyone is transfered to the past to their school life
with still the MC in the female form.
I am not sure on the complete plot becasue, I don't understand
chinese.

The best Lalola is the Beligum one. First, she’s the best actress
out of all of them, and the progression from Man to Woman is the
most gradual and carefully developed in terms of story, body
language, clothing, makeup, and hair length.

This is good news. VIX is offered by ROKU as a free streamer. VIX
is also presently carrying the Argentinian version of 2007's
LALOLA. That suggests that that version of LLL is drawing some
favorable attention from Vix's users, or else why would they go
into a big original project with a new Lalola?
I never cared for the Chilean or the Portugese LLL, but I really
liked the Belgian and Filipino, up to the extent that anyone could
like a program where he can't understand a single word. I'd like a
sensitive Lalola like Belgium's, or a super gorgeous and feminine
one like the Filipino. (That was the one who was zapped with
ultra-feminine behavior patterns to follow up the original
transformation). She doesn't step into an editorial job, but has to
start out as a sexy front-desk secretary.
I'd like to see the story do something with a Lalola pregnancy.
Both the Belgian and Filipino gave birth, but only as quick reveals
in the last episode of each. Up to the last 25% of the new series
out to deal with with that nuance.
I only wish that Vix would provide English captions to their
series, along with their Spanish ones. I'd given up hope for a new
Lalola after Peru's. That was a good version, but I thought that
Gianella Neyra, foxy in her youth, had that kind of a face that
unfortunately hardens prematurely (sort of like Lauren Bacall's
did, who by the way, played Charlie Sorel on Broadway.). Even
though Mariya Berseneva's MARGOSHA showed a sour personality
sometimes (and she also dropped a great guy for a flawed one), her
beauty made up for it.
As for Barbara de Regil, I wouldn't call her gorgeous. She has the
kind of face that looks good only when it's heavily made up, but
under the paint is actually rather plain. I haven't seen her
acting; she's a model by profession. Not every model is a good
actress.
