Hey all,
I'm wondering if anyone could provide some good examples of
permanent gender swaps in films, television or comics? By permanent
I mean the initial swap isn't undone by the end and the male turned
female character (or vice versa though I admit I'm much more
interested in the former)?
This doesn't necessarily have to be a main character either, though
obviously that would be preferable!

yes in cleo leo he does turn back but then switches back to cleo as
he has fallen in love with a worker from the company and has had
sex as a woman so is female in mind now too .

They’re not the main characters, but at the end of the 80s Vice
Versa movie, the male and female thief get swapped and then the
father and son take back the body-swapping idol, implying that the
thieves will be stuck as each other forever. Brief, but memorable.
(And as a bonus for some of us: one of those swaps where the
characters are still in their original clothes immediately after
the swap happens.)

H-E-R-O Issues #12-14
Male Construction Worker finds the H-E-R-O device and is
transformed into a female superhero. Ends up being stuck in the
female form and never changes back.

So I Guess then in vice versa the male thief now a woman goes to a
womans prison for his crime. More like a winning ticket i guess

The short, Transformed there was only so many changes that could be
done and the guy that got swapped into the girl, put the dying old
man in his body and they got married in the end.

The Argentinian soap opera Lalola is like this. Although it's
technically a body swap stories, during most of the show the viewer
think he was just transformed into a girl, only in the end is
reveled that it was actually a body swap story rather than a
transformation story. So the show mainly focus on the MTF aspect.
In the end, he, now a she, ends up falling in love with his friend
and decides not to switch back.

@Bobby21 No, the swapped thieves weren't jailed, they stay in the
train back home.
But they are left in each other's bodies. So, they would have to
live with a different gender.

Is there any way to watch Identity Theft without being in America?
Its sadly region locked on amazon. Cant purchase it with a european
