You know the movie Switch starring Jimmy Smits and Ellen Barkin? What do you think of it?

Believe it or not, I saw it for the first time the other day. The concept was quite fascinating.

My question is, was the love that God was looking for, found by Steve/Amanda in his/her husband and best friend Walter or in his/her daughter, or both?

Also do you think Walter raped Steve/Amanda or was the misogynistic and homophobic Steve/Amanda not willing to accept that he/she had slept with his/her best friend?

Do you think Steve/Amanda and Walter truly loved each other or was it more a circumstance of a one night stand?

Finally do you think Steve/Amanda will end up choosing to be a male or a female angel in heaven, even though he/she has an eternity to decide? My guess is that Steve/Amanda will decide to be a female angel once his/her husband Walter dies and goes there, unless of course Walter is bisexual, but that's me.

Oh, and last question semi-related to the film, if your best friend somehow transformed into whichever sex you you are attracted to, would you consider sleeping with them or dating them?

My best friend is of the sex I'm attracted to. They just don't know it. I don't have the guts to tell them, because I'm pretty sure it's not mutual.

this movie was cut so much for the english market . lots of scenes with eeelen barkin and the devil where he is kissing her and chasing her in her low cut cleavage popping dress which are in the trailer but not the movie shame

An instant of reciprocated love was shown to result in the main character's immediate death and being sent to heaven.

Based on that, you can make one of two conclusions:

1. The main character was in a one sided —emotionally speaking— relationship. Either she did not love him, or he did not love her. The love between mother and child became her salvation.

2. The main character and the father of her child both loved one another but she was not allowed to die and go to heaven until her pregnancy was concluded so as not to kill the baby. Technically this one can also include the love between mother and child but it would be unnecessary for her salvation in this scenario.
