The film revolves around the life of Sanjay Saxena (Aftab
Shivdasani), an advertising professional who is more serious and
regular about his womanizing than his career. Suave, handsome and
well settled, he ends up dating multiple women. One of them,
Loveleen (Divya Dutta) happens to be a married woman on the verge
of a divorce. Her insistence on marriage is avoided by Sanjay who
loathes commitment. Two of his other girlfriends, Seema and Rita
spy on him and catch him red handed, at Loveleen's place.
Accusations lead to arguments, which further leads to actual man
handling. In a fit of fury, Loveleen kills Sanjay.
What seems like a logical end, is not even the beginning here.
Sanjay is denied a place in heaven, thanks to his philandering
lifestyle. At the same time, he is unworthy of hell because
essentially, he has been a nice person. God Shiva and Goddess
Parvati give him a second chance to go back on earth and learn to
respect womankind. Only with a condition, he has to live on earth
in the body of a woman.
So, Sanjay becomes Sanjana (Antara Mali) - a long lost stepsister.
Sanjay's closest friend Shekhar (Riteish Deshmukh) is surprised at
the sudden arrival of an unheard-of-sibling and the ambiguous
disappearance of Sanjay. Sanjana goes to teach Loveleen a lesson,
and tells her the truth. In the process, she cooks up numerous
stories to all and sundry. Sanjana has to finish Sanjay's
unfinished work - the prestigious Malhotra account.
Now instead of Sanjay's work in the pitch, its Sanjana's body that
gets all the attention. What follows is a comedy of errors, where
people keep getting attracted to Sanjana... Be it a road side
Romeo, her office colleague Ravi, the 'esteemed client' Mr.Malhotra
(Bharat Dabholkar) and almost all men look at Sanjana only as a
body, a sex object... something that Sanjay himself did to other
women, when alive. What's worse his best friend Shekhar ends up
falling in LOVE with him. Suddenly for the first time he starts
seeing the world through a woman's eyes. And man.....it's not easy!
How he triumphs over the battle of sexes within him, how he comes
to terms with his actual image with other women, how he sees life
from the other side forms the crux of the story.
