TurboTax Super Bowl ad

Just a heads up, there was a MTF unmasking in a TurboTax ad shown during the Super Bowl. Link soon.

It’s not too obvious on first viewing, but the male character gets from a dry-cleaning shop a skin-and-clothes head-to-toe suit of the initial female character he dismasked from, and somehow manages to climb a ladder and put it on at the same time so that he turns back into her. I had to look at it as near frame-by-frame as YouTube allows in order to see what was supposed to be happening.

A few moments of that woman suit and the guy apparently happy to have it back from the cleaners, put it on, and become the bespectacled brunette again (attention to detail: whether or not the actress needs glasses, their lenses aren’t just plain glass): a little thrill for the skinsuit fans, maybe.

did they change who the lady wearing the woman suit was? she appeared to have a lot less wrinkles during the stand-up/unmasking shot, and there were a few takes based on how much the pencil moved in her hair

It does look as if they either used a different actress just before the unmasking into the bearded guy or did some processing to make the original woman’s head look more like the mask we later see on the floor. Looks a bit odd.

Having the famous guy leave the cleaners’ shop by ladder with the woman suit and (I guess) emerge through a box into the cute freelancer woman’s new house as her, with the bag the woman suit came in, and ask, in a charming feminine voice, “What if I really AM a freelancer who just bought a home?” and make herself at home… does someone involved with the ad fantasize about that sort of metamorphosis?
