Probably true, but from a recherche standpoint this is probably the most useful list created for this stuff.
Titles are properly listed with their date or director which makes finding them quite easy, especially in the future, even 10 years from now. Well done

149. You Shall Not Sleep Tonight (2024)- Anthology, Second Segment, around 10mins into the movie. Two sisters run a business conning people by conducting seances. Get Caught up in an actual haunted house. The Man's spirit offers the sister freedom from her controlling sister if she gives him his teddy bear. She does and realizes that the man's spirit possessed the other (and the hotter) sister now as her eyes turn the same as him.

I kind of hate the way most of these low budget Tubi movies end and ‘resolve’ things with just ‘oops eyes flashing’ or ‘main character MURDERS????’ just because like. What actually happens next? We’re just letting implication override actual story as we hit a dead end narratively where either the evil spirit just says ‘I won. So. Fuck you. Yeah. Uh. What’s for dinner?’ Or the body of the main character is immediately arrested and locked up.

Isnt that the best part? The absolute feeling of someone evil taking over someone good's life? In the hero or the other characters' minds, the fem protag was victorious. But the fact that it is an otherworldly spirit or the very killer they were trying to get rid of wearing their beloved friend/love/wife/daughter's face and playing her character, we as audience also know that their beloved is gone forever, and this vile creature, wearing her flesh is all that remains.
THAT IS THE BEST MF PART.

I mean, sure, but then what? The implication is just annoying and lazy if the only consequence is a vague failure or ‘): that sucks’. Ending with a ‘eyes shift color UH OH’ thriller shot is just obnoxious and an easy/lazy bad end compared to actually exploring what that loss entails at all (unless the movie previously established literally anything about the things motivation, which almost none of these movies do)

Haunting of Lanquetot (2022)- Group of paranormal hunters explore a haunted mansion, come across two ghosts who tell them they are trapped by the duke of the mansion. The duke is a ghost as well. In the end, when they exorcise the duke, the 2 ghosts replace the souls of the investigators and steal their bodies.
Actually a nice long sequence of them exploring the world in their bodies and living their lives. Nice change from the eyes point towards camera or the movie ending when the possession occurs and shit.
Solid 8.5/10 sequence. (Actress is a bit ugly but eh)
