Looking for Story on Fictionmania

I can't find a story that was on Fictionmania possibly called "A War in Skirts" and can't remember the author's name as well. Some comments believed the story was kinda based on Hedy Jo Starr. Hope someone remembers and knows how I could get a copy of it.

The highlights of the story were about a soldier or sailor on a ship that was asked by his commanding officer to dress up as a beautiful model and entertain the troops during World War 2 to help morale. It was a very personal story about how he felt about transforming and entertaining. Right away he noticed how everyone that did not know it was him treated responded when he was dressed up entertaining them. He even saw some action in Burma going to one of the staged events! He always had an escort MP with him all the time and they eventually fell in love with each other. Of course, he enjoyed pretending to be a beautiful woman so much so that after the war he lived as one and married the MP.
