the other one was closed
I guess I too maybe leaving
with the clear steps meant to push non registered members out
this was one of the first site that I found way back in the day, so
it might be hard for me to go completely
I know the mods are doing their best, but I am not going to create
an email account just to post stuff here
I will move on, find somewhere else or just not post
it has been hit or miss with the people around here lately anyway

The dramatic exit is next to the normal exit. You can’t miss it...

In another thread, Moose (who's a good, contributing member of this
community) said it takes 5 minutes to register. It doesn't even
take that long and it doesn't require an email (at least-wise when
I registered).
But, people suggesting that registration should be required does
not constitute "clear steps meant to push non registered members out"
.
paul mentioned that it has been temporarily
required in the past. That's the closest to a suggestion
that it could be used, if necessary.
In any case, when I visit the site, I usually don't post so I don't
need to log in. I can still find out about stuff.
Also, I've seen really bad trolling attacks in the past. I,
personally, am not so concerned about the current level of present
annoyances. My peeves are more along the lines of people who just
title their thread "what's this" and give a link w/ no description
and people waste their time clicking on five of these types of
threads a day to something in a language so they stand no chance of
knowing the name of work and being able to help.

Requiring registration to post would help clear those up too.

great, now the troll is pretending to be me. thanks for giving them
more ammo. I did make that OP post on troll theory but I'm not
Chiyome. they threatened me too, remember? If people are really
going to condemn me as a troll, I will leave. I just don't want to
be accused of something I didn't do...

I think we’re able to tell the difference kiyohime. No worries
there.

Thank you, it's just that some people thought I was the troll due
to my troll theory post. thank you, hskfm.

LJ524, I was unclear on to whom you were responding. Since it was 7
hours after my post and mine was sandwiched between your posts, I
thought it might be mine. If so did you read it?

Requiring registration to post would help clear those up too. Peer
pressure applied because you know who exactly is doing so.

Good old (self-)bullying, aka peer pressure. I also approve it.
Keep going.

LJ524, I have to disagree with that. People can make throwaway
accounts and registration wouldn't prevent them from demanding
without a please, thank you or description.
Remember, you don't even need an email and there isn't really a
consequence for being inconsiderate. It would make spam more
difficult, though.
