Post 19 was a question (repeated) and then polarizing conjecture. I'm agreeing with hskfmn's decision to remove the post.

Post 15 was indeed disrespectful. It was also non-sensible.

One of the terms used in a previous post (in this thread) was challenged, and noted as also being derogatory against a group of people. Also noted was that that post's comparison was not a good example. The final thing in the Post 14 was a REQUEST / SUGGESTION that we not draw those same comparisons.

Post 15 simply focused on the nature of the author of post 14.

Non Trans Person, please read your posts another time before you submit them. Ask yourself if the post will add to the discussion. Is the post civil, polite, and courteous, or disrespectful? Are you commenting on the discussion or topic or issue... or are you commenting on the poster?

Even I fail to do this sometimes, and when I do, it gets me in trouble wherever I am posting.

Doing this double (or triple) -check before submitting that post will most-often save you from frustration (and us too).

Just a bit of advice / opinion from years of experience.

And thank you for continuing to engage with us. The more constructive discussion we get, the better the site becomes.

Drawing parallels between being misgendered or deadnamed to something like having a thread locked, trivializes my experiences as a trans person, so yes I have every reason to speak up.

I didn't need to see this today. I just found out my aunt died. So if you'll excuse me I'm going to go back to crying.

I am personally very sorry this exchange had to take place for you today on all days where you are experiencing personal tragedy. I would hope I speak for a majority of the community and the mods we have here when I offer our sincerest condolences for your loss. Go be with your family and loved ones.
