Sorry, but somebody had to say it.
Instead of getting links to new content everyday, we get spam
links, cringeworthy Tik Tok videos exclusively from the
subcontinent and reposts from different accounts. The moderators'
indifference enables it and the problem compounded to the point
where it got out of control. Today alone had 13 links to some guy's
accounting channel (I left out his name but you can easily find it
by following the link). When content curators and site regulars
left, it was blamed on their prejudices rather than the issue at
hand. I hope the site admins consider instituting a login scheme
that limits new posts to registered users. No, it won't completely
fix the problem, but it will be a step in the right direction.

^ And pretty soon you will probably be labeled racist even though
everything you stated is factually true. Good job mods!

that to be true lmao

What? The Youtube accounting channel in the spam link is clearly
Malaysian not Indian. Can't even get that right LMAO. Are you by
American by any chance? Look like the stereotype about dumb
Americans not knowing much about outside world is true after all.

@Supreme Goat Wow, a person who is most likely an Indian expatriate
to Malaysia with an obvious name of Indian origin was outed as an
Indian spammer! But congrats on the 200+ views you got!

@lol,
That one the most STUDPIDEST post ever. Indian is one of the common
ethnic groups in Malaysia. Denying that a Malaysian of Indian
ethnicity is a Malaysian is like saying a US citizen born in US
with name like Mohamed Khaled or Chang Wonhu is not "real
American".
Though you are probably a MAGA Trump supporter who would not admit
someone with name like Mohamed Khaled or Chong Wonhu is American so
I should not be surprised.

@Supreme Goat When did I deny that person's Malaysian connection?
That person is clearly of Indian origin whether he is from Malaysia
or not. Therefore, he is an Indian spammer. Don't worry, he can be
a Malaysian one too, but he is definitely an Indian spammer. Nice
hand waving argument, by the way. The sad part is that the mods
probably agree with you and the site will continue to be inundated
with spam as a result.

Guys what you're seeing here is an actual transformation. Except
it's the metamorphosis of this site from "a Catalog of
Transformations, Plus Reviews and Alerts" to Indian spam to promote
lame accounting videos and gross tiktoks. The transformation is
complete! Good job you lazy moderators.

@lol,
That's a stupid reasoning. According to your logic if Mohamed
Khaled spam this site he would be an Arabic spammer even if he is
legally the citizen of US. If Chong Wonhu spams this site he would
be Chinese spammer even if he is legally the citizen of US.
So I want to ask you, a racist MAGA Trump supporter, say some white
American with name like John Carlton spams this site, would it be
correct to say he is a British spammer because you know, his
ancestors coming from there? If not, then I ask you, why the double
standard?

The problem isn't Indians, it's a lack of moderation and filtering
on a message board that's still alive in 2021. Spam has always been
an issue on any website.
Forums and message boards have nearly been driven to extinction
across the entire web. None of these issues are unique to this one,
but the mods don't have modern tools to work with.
Disabling guest posting would clear out a lot of spam, but you
would drive out a lot of productive guest posters too. I don't
think the level of spam on this board is absurd considering how
slowly it moves.

@Supreme Goat It's not "a stupid reasoning." A person does not
relinquish his or her own ethnic origins simply by becoming a
citizen or permanent resident of another country. "Mohamed Khaled"
could still be an Arabic spammer from the US and the same would
apply Chinese spammer "Chong Wonhu." Speaking of stereotypes, good
work coming up with these names.
Also, a "John Carlton" could certainly be a spammer and I would
have the exact same problem with it regardless of his ethnicuty. It
was your assumption, not mine, that spam is only a problem with
non-Westerners. That you are okay with this flagrant circumvention
of the site's rules says a lot more about you than me.

@lol,
Again that didn't answer my question. I didn't say that you would
not call John Carlton a spammer. What I said is that you would have
not have called him "British spammer" or "European spammer" . You
would have called him "American spammer".
Then why you could not extend the same courtesy to Mohamed Khaled &
Chong Wonhu. If you did not say John Carlton is "European spammer
from the US" or "British spammer from the US", what makes you think
it is right to call other people "Arabic spammer from the US" or
"Chinese spammer from the US"?
Answer me.

@Supreme Goat Did it ever cross your mind that people would have a
problem with Indian spammers because the site has had recent
problems with Indian spam? Don't make this a matter of semantics.
|
From: guest (Supreme Goat)
, 53 months, post #16 |
It is not a matter of semantic when you got someone's nationality
wrong in order to portray a country in a bad light.
|
From: guest (lol)
, 53 months, post #17 |
@Supreme Goat What you've failed to understand once more is that
"Indian" was not a reference to this person's nationality but his
ethnic origins. And this individual is a repeat offender on this
site that has had a major problem with spam of Indian content,
TF-related or otherwise. Not going to waste time with your weak
retorts anymore. This site has a problem whether you've recognized
it or not, and many others agree. Have a nice day.

You post doesn't make any sense at all. "This person"? Seriously,
what proof you have that the person who spam the Youtube accounting
channel is the same poster who posted here previously?

never replied back to those most times you don’t even get thank you
just like in real life

The interviewee in that video is a known submitter to this
community and has had links removed for spam in the past. If I can
find concrete examples, I will share them here but many of them
have been removed. He also has two youtube channels dedicated to
voice swap content though one of them was purged of all content:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCi60ejkJWNKvcsiXXgsf66A/featured
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkV5RKojO-ELTa9vz56UT9w
The chances of the name being a coincidence are slim to none. I
just feel bad for the interviewer whose channel could now suffer
due to his misdeeds.
