Look, the first thing you need to do is not panic. Yes, the
pandemic is an inconvenience, but we'll be able to get through it
together. Also, at the risk of being a broken record, be sure to
wash your hands for at least 20 seconds (that's two choruses of
"Happy Birthday", or look online to find other 20 second songs you
like to sing).

due to this virus
the business I work for does not have the money to stay open
being a non profit it runs very close to no money
I was asked today to not come in after Friday, and stay in touch,
they are hoping to get the money together to keep their doors open

It will get worse, no need to sugarcoat it. No need to panic also,
because it will get better. We already have one big problem to
solve... best not create more.
We will be known to the future generations as those who survived
the first great pandemic of the millennia. Yeah, it isn't the first
pandemics humankind faces, nor will be the last. But it is the
first pandemics that we can isolate from ourselves, and still stay
in touch. Talk to people. Easy their minds!
This year will hurt like hell, be prepared, but we are stronger
when we unite as one!
Wash your hands; if you can, don't leave your house without a great
necessity, and if you leave, cover your face with whatever you can
and do not stay exposed more than you need. Social distance!
Flatten the curve! Take care of your elders!
And, don't blame the Chinese because a mistake their government
did, hiding important facts from the world. The Chinese are victims
as much as you and me! Unfortunately, new virus appears from time
to time, eating bats or not. Our history shows that. But it also
shows that when we aren't honest with each other, and don't listen
to scientists, shit happens. Let's hope humankind learns this time!
Our most precious tools are our intelligence and capacity to
collaborate in large, complex groups. Saying again... let's hope
humankind learns this time.

And also, contrary to popular belief, coronavirus is not named for
Corona beer, but they are named after the same thing. "Corona" is a
Latin word that means "crown" or "sun", because when looked through
a microscope, the virus resembles the sun. This is also why the
emblem of the kingdom of Corona in the Disney movie "Tangled" is a
sun. I learned all about that by listening to Sanjay Gupta's
podcast, which I recommend listening to if you want to make it
through this zombie apocalypse.
