Naruto episode I am Konohamaru
Gender
Naruto is a new Japanese cartoon series. I've found episodes 1 and 2 translated by the #animeone group on mIRC. irc.aniverse.com server. Episode one has a brief gender Transformation at the beginning, but episode 2 is just overflowing with Gender transformations. If you don't have the mIRC program, ...more

...How could they mess it up sooo badly... I can't belive that they can't even get decent voice-actors(or atleast give the words a little more emotion) It sucked...

Censorship always seems to happen with anything from another culture. Japan does it a lot with American movies and of course we do with Japanese CARTOONS. It would be nice if all cultures could mature as a whole and realize censorship is at best a waste of time and resources. That's not likely to happen though.

Anyway, in the spirit of nitpicking, Naruto does not actually turn into a girl in the series. The Iroke no jutsu (or sexy no jutsu) is pure illusion. It's a modified form of a very common jutsu (technique) in the series wherein characters make themselves look like other people. This happens ALL THE TIME. Also of note is the Kawarimi no jutsu where a ninja will thow an illusion on a piece of wood to make it appear as if it were a person. One character named Kiba, together with his pet dog can morph physically into one gigantic dog. And later on in the series there's a character called Orochimaru who can enlongate his neck like a serpent (I'm not sure if this is illusion or not) and sheds his skin periodically by somehow absorbing another persons energy.

There's a lot in this series. If they don't edit it all out. (BTW the best way to get the eps is through a p2p service like bearshare or limewire. The early episodes are licensed so it's not strictly legal to get those, but later episodes are still fair game and are usually pretty easy to find)

  • possible spoilers*
The oiroke no jutsu/sexy jutsu is the common ninja move "henge" which means "transform", and I believe the jutsu is an actual body morphing move. For one in the Naruto versus Gaara fight, Gamabunta(a giant frog/maybe toad) asks Naruto to use henge to give him claws and fangs in order to fight Shukaku(demon possessing Gaara) since he was unable to hold Shukaku due to a lack of claws. They then transform into the giant fox demon Kyuubi. Iruka early on in the show uses henge to look like Naruto and fights(more like slams into a person), and their body difference should have caused problems but was ignored.
