stupid movie is stupid. the story takes place in ancient Korea why
does the characters speak in Chinese. This is very insulting to
Korean culture! As if people in Korea spoke Chinese in the past.
can't they at least dub the voice if the actors didn't know how to
speak Korean.

@stupid movie is stupid
Exactly! I cringed so hard at that. They're like, oh people in
ancient Korea spoke Chinese as a fashion and then all of a sudden
absolutely everyone speaks Chinese. Their clumsy attempt to cover
their shortcoming is so obvious.

should just have the story set in ancient Chinese palace instead of
a Korean one.

I don't see why anyone want to bitch about the language. It is most
hypocritical as we have many period films in US or UK language
where the people in the film speak English even if they really
should have spoken in French, Italian, Russian etc...

It is not hypocritical. It is one thing for a period film to have
dialogue that is "auto-translated" into the audience's language. It
is another to create a world where the characters are aware the
language should be one thing but give a poor excuse for why it is
another language.
