I really enjoy stories where the focus lies on the characters
having to deal with their changed bodies while still trying to
somehow live their old life.
Like if it's not a straight up bodyswap, they have to hide their
changed bodies by wearing concealing clothes or my favourite kind,
where everybody thinks they always looked like that and it becomes
sort of a body horror scenario. I hope you understand what i mean.
There used to be a very great interactive like that on writing.com,
sadly it had to be archived and got somewhat forgotten:
http://old.bearchive.com/~addventure/game1/docs/1238/1238173.html
My favourite branch was this one, where a teenage guy swaps his
head by accident onto his pregnant neighbors body. While he gets to
keep his old life and identity as a male teenager despite having
the body of a pregnant woman from the neck down, he now has to deal
with the horror of having to give birth in the very near future and
also his new anatomy, which he is not exactly thrilled about.

I wish there was more like this :(

I love "living with the consequences" stories too. And not just
generic brainwash/mindcontrol and everyone is cool with it a few
minutes later.
I think that was part of the appeal of FB for me over other
interactive and story posting sites, the basic premise that you
can't undo something you've done, sure tweak it a bit, but you're
basically stuck.
The A Life Changed forever ones were some of my favourite w.c
stories, pity they're gone now (only archived, never really added
to).

Typically my favorite part of transformation and gender swap
stories is the characters dealing with the changes in secret, at
least from most people.
That is part of why I am drawn to stories where the character's
genitals are the only thing or first thing to change. It's a huge
change for the character themselves, and it can be hidden.
I started a thread for that.

It might not be exactly what you are looking for but I think there
is a lot of overlap so you may check it out. I know some of the
stories involve a character dealing with the consequences of the
change by hiding it.

Yes, FB has some great stuff, sadly those storylines are more or
less archives as well by now :(
@Dirk OMG, finally I know why I like genital/body part/head swaps
so much, never really thought about it like that :D

Here's a decent interactive that might be worth looking into:

Thanks!
Does anybody know any ebooks or stories on other sites than
writing.com?
I think I have been through pretty much every story there...

There's a new, ongoing story on Fictionmania that deals with this
(at least at first) called Something Wicked This Way comes.
