Do you prefer a struggle or quick adjustment to womanhood?
From: guest (Bud) , 65 months, post #1
When it comes to body swaps and transformations regarding a man into a woman, do you prefer him to struggle with his new found womanhood ie wearing panties, thongs, skirts, dresses, heels and having to deal with men and PMS? Or do you want him to adapt to being a woman quickly?

And do you want to see him wear the girliest or most feminine outfits like skirts and dresses and tight shirts and heels?

Struggle to adapt is my preference. It seems harder to find though. I like stories without mental changes or where the characters are mind controled to act a certain way.

Definitely struggle.
Instant mental changes are no fun.

I like seeing more a struggle. Depending on the story, gives a bit more material to work with and more conflict. I understand wanting the fantasy of everything going smoothly. But isn't as narratively interesting for me.

Definitely Struggle. You have to learn everything about womanhood.

I prefer something realistic. Not necessarily a struggle, but fronting difficulties, making mistakes, relapsing into manly behaviors, having to ask for help, fronting lack of understanding...

Struggle

most of what I find to read has struggle lasting half a page, and to me that is not a struggle

a heterosexual guy is not going to accept being thrust into a woman's body easily

I like comedic struggles. I especially like stories where the formerly male character tries to apply a distinctly "male" solution to a problem but finds "cultural" differences between the sexes get in the way.

A particularly hilarious story I remember had the 100% female friend be really depressed about something so the protagonist took it upon her/himself to fix the problem. But every time they did the female friend would just get angrier and angrier.

Finally the protagonist figures out the female friend didn't actually want the problem solved, but wanted someone to talk to and vent their feelings with.

Meanwhile the guys kept working extra hard to outdo the protagonist in their fix for the original problem. The protagonist eventually realizes that because they are currently female, to upstage a male with a better solution is a strike their ego. If there is one thing a male wants to protect it's their ego. And thus why they put in so much extra work even though the protagonist already solved the problem.

Clothes, thongs and dresses are fun, and culture is hilarious. :)

I prefer a struggle, preferably without any abrupt mental changes, or loss of identity.

Definitely struggle. [2 the

I mean, what's the fun if the man, in the women's body, right out of the bat leans how to deal with being a woman? It's just seem pretty... "meh".

From: guest (Bud) , 65 months, post #11
So how long should the struggle be? A month or two? Enough time to deal with the clothes, shoes, walking, and PMS?

From: guest (Bobh) , 65 months, post #12
Anybody have any favorites were the protagonist must struggle or adapt to their new life and or body?

I am hoping for some recommendations.

Captain picked can do you remember the name of the of that story?

I prefer no struggle because it is mostly shown as lowbrow comedy.i skip or fast forward those parts of movies or tv shows.if I want slapstick comedy I go elsewhere.

"...how long..."

A life time

Sure the person might get used to the clothes, appear okay and even look like what he or she appears to be, but to me the struggle is on going. It never stops. Waking up and seeing a familiar strangers face would still be a little bit of a shock.

Transgenders are (to my limited experience) spend a life time searching for the face and body that they know they should have.

if a man (example) is body swapped into a woman, would he not be looking for his old face in the mirror? would he not be looking for himself like the transgender is looking for their own?

I mean no insult or to belittle anyone here or elsewhere, I just could not figure out another example that would be understood and this seemed like a pretty good example

much as I fantasize about M2F body swap/transformations/etc I would not want to do it. I do not play dress up or put on wigs or make up, it is about the fantasy of a moment of time. Me, myself, if TGS happened and I was suddenly Jessica Weaver, I would freak, and fight to get back to me.

I am who I am, I was born this way, I don't see anyone else in the mirror.

If I body swapped with a woman, other then putting on makeup which I'd just watch a youtube video I wouldn't struggle a bit. Like if someone wants something for so long, a person is prepared for it to happen. I might take a little while knowing their routine but I could fake it, plus the person I'm with wouldn't expect their wife to be a guy inside, just forgetful for a day or so which one could fake an illness. Plus when their wife is more sexually active I'm sure their not going to complain about getting laid more, with me wanting to experience womanhood.

From: guest (Jill) , 65 months, post #16
I think people listen to women complain, but being a woman isn't rocket science. I once had a discussion on this with a stay at home mom/housewife and then wrote out my life to hers and said which is easier and which would you rather have, that was the end of discussion.

From: guest (Bud) , 65 months, post #17
Of course, there would some denial and resistance especially in the beginning but sooner or later the man in a woman's body would have to adapt and adjust or be miserable for the rest of his/her life.

From: guest , 65 months, post #18
Bud, I agree, you would learn to be a woman, or you would kill yourself.

Like I said above, I fantasize about this, but I would not want to live it. I don't see someone else in the mirror, I see me.

I respect the people that can live as someone else for years, then when they can afford it they make the transition, but for me... yeah, that isn't me.

I would think that a guy that lacks this fantasy, that has issues with transgender and such- I think those people would kill themselves at a higher rate (depending on their will power).
