What are the most "realistic" and sensitive m2f tg stories you have read?
From: ChaosAngelNesariel , 67 months, post #1
So, as the title says, I am looking for m2f the transformation stories that deal with the transformed man (now woman or even girl) in a fairly "realistic" (or even just dramatic as opposed to comedic) and sensitive manner.

I am not looking for anything to do with mind alteration, or pure fetishism. This is in the name of our esearch for my webcomic, which will has a character, a special operations-type soldier, magically transformed into a teenage girl. I want to do the character's arc justice, and am looking for some inspiration.

Can anyone help me out? Thanks ahead of time.

(Also, I am always on the lookout for good tg stories in general.)

The Dragon Princess series by Andrew S Swann is mostly comedic but there's some nice touches in there, particularly in the sequel where the main character (a thief who's been seemingly permanently stuck in the body of a princess) reaches breaking point with his current body. Even after he's switched with another man and is seeking to get back into the princess' body (it makes sense in the novel), he's struggling to come to terms with having to live out life as a woman.

hi jessk,

did he stayed in the princess' body in the end? based on the synopsis of the last part of the trilogy it seems that the princess got her body's back?

Though I usually do not care for M to F by surgery, “Cepi Corpus” on Fictionmania becomes rather beautiful towards the end.

hi joss,

they did end up back in their original bodies at the very end but until that moment they all assumed the switch was permanent.

My shallow regret

Andrew Carlysle is 25 years old, still living at home with his soon-to-be divorced mother and younger sister, both of whom treat him as nothing but a disappointment -- and it'd be hard for him to disagree. After watching the latest big Hollywood reboot, he starts to think about what his life would look like rebooted, only to find out that the answer might not be anything he could have ever imagined.

Different setting (technically more medieval) but http://www.exiern.com covers a lot of what you're requesting in terms of type of story.
