I think because of destiny. One day the world will need saving and our powers will activate and turn us all into what we've always secretly were meant to be.

My love of transformation boils down to one thing...I love the idea of changing forms and of being able to do it at will, I pretty much became a fan of transformations because of werecreatures and that's what I started out during...basically animal-people and people into monsters and then I did character transformations and TGs.

I think transformation and "being something else" in one way or another has always been a part of me. As a kid, I always wanted to be something else, like a dragon, a mermaid or even just an animal like a monkey. Looking back, I felt really bored a lot of times and I guess I even had phases of depression. I guess it's a deep fantasy to make my life more interesting that has stuck with me.

What's weird was that I had a strong physical reaction to seeing transformations in cartoons from an ealry age. On top, I had a high pitched voice for a guy and preferred long hair, prompting the relatives on my father's side to make fun of me and call me a girl. Maybe it sticked to me? I also remember talking to my parents about wanting to be a girl, but that was always more something like a passing thought.

Growing up, my desire shifted from animals and mythical creatures into "being a girl/woman". I guess in one way or another, my fetish has been about a feeling of longing. I don't care about painting my nails or other superficial feminine things, but... it is fun to think myself enjoying things I cannot do at the moment. If that makes sense.

There are many more nuances to it, and the way I have grown up and how I detested my peers probably also contributed towards it. But this is not an essay, so I leave it at that.

Couple of years ago i thought i actually tracked the origins of this perversion (I prefer to call it that, yeah) - there was this soviet cartoon from my childhood about Bear guy and Hedgehog guy, who couldn't or didn't bother to find a spruce for New Year (Christmas tree of sorts?). So Hedgehog guy decided he'd be the tree, he had prickles, after all. And so he stood at that platform, so special, so cute, decorated with beauties and shinies, little princess. And Bear guy loved him and they had sex. Sorry, i thought you'd find it funny. I made that last part up.
So i googled it of course to see if it's true, if my memory would bring any additional details if i watch it again. Nope, hard to believe this was the case. Cartoon happened to be so ugly, so low budget. Nothing cute about the Hedgehog princess.
I remember well the first time i got 'horny' with TG fantasies as a teen, yeah, but these fantasies were long before puberty. At the age about 5-7 i was caught couple of times swapping heads to sisters's Ken and Barby. Woops. So maybe it really was that cartoon that started it.

This is quite easy. Every fetish is kind of suppressed emotion from early age. In my case the ability/desire to change something. That's why I'm attracted to it. And that's why FtM or MtM never work for me. Because in the core they don't change anything.

@blabla260

I’ve always felt closer to the opposite sex because I’ve grown up around women mostly. I also think I have a suppressed desire to be female. I always have felt wrong in my body.

Everyone has sexual turn ons. Some people are furries. Some people get turned on by women squashing and stomping on mud. Nothing new here. As long as you aren't hurt anyone or yourself, why not? We are living in the year 2019.

I have a detailed blog post about this
here

tl;dr
I have had the interest in it since I was a little kid, probably first from watching the movie Willow where an army is turned into pigs.
As a teen I wrote my own fiction, until I found communities like this one and even contributed to them.

Contrary to the last post I’m not transgender. I was born male and I love being a guy. To me this actually is more of a sexual fetish. It’s autogynephilia in a nutshell. I love women’s bodies and features so much that I become aroused at the idea of having them myself. Not just being with a woman sexually but being in her skin seeing through her eyes, speaking with her voice etc. ironically though as soon as I orgasm the desire completely goes away and I just want to be my male self
