Writing.com interactives
From: guest , 70 months, post #1
Has everyone moved away from writing.com or something? My favourite authors (wassel29, gengartheghoul etc) havent posted in so long

From: guest (brayn) , 70 months, post #2
Yes, writing.com go over the top in terms of policing people who use the site for free, specifically interactives.

The writers who went there no longer do so because they'd have to pay to get the service to work properly.

you'll mostly find them on DA or other interactive sites now like fictionbranches, cyoc or the BEADdventure.

I have been curious as to where I can look to find wassel29's stuff.

Maybe the writers are on summer vacation.

In all honesty the only one that gets me antsy is that Seuzz I don't think has even been on writing.com in like two weeks much less posted anything. Both because I obviously greatly enjoy reading his stuff but also because when I'm really into a particularly storyline he's working on it fires me up and gets me motivated to write as well. Without that the well runs dry and I find it hard to work up the motivation to bother.

I'm with rugal. I check that site daily because of BoM. If Seuzz leaves or BoM goes dark I doubt I'll ever check the site again.

I'm also very wary of Suezz's sudden absence. As far as I remember he hasn't taken a break for so long in a while, especially without warning. Considering all the effort that's gone into making his recent stuff more accessible to people who didn't pay Writing.com's fee, if he bounces from the site that says a lot.

dude have you seen writing.com lately? the push for their garbage service is insane, you get to look at 2 chapters of an interactive before you're forced to look at a "server overload" screen.

From: guest , 70 months, post #9
You can slowly wade your way through it with reloads, waiting a minute, etc. I like to reload since it says it hurts their servers (It's BS, it's obviously a randomizer). I just hope someone is saving all that content, since no one is paying for their stupid service and they might get fed up and just delete everything. The owners of that site are complete aholes.

Wassel is back!

What is sad is that, due to the secrecy of our own, if one of us dies, we will never know... there are many to remember, but it's been a while since I last saw something from Zapper, CJ, Liz, TGKiid, Ace of Spades, JohnG, Leon...
