I been in the community for a while and when I heard about the
problems I even registered for an account. But it doesn’t matter
now...through my regular internet access that i use it says a block
of ip numbers have been blocked. Now the only way I can gain access
is through work (not happening) or if I try to login a hotspot at
McDonald’s or something. 😐

I don't know how this works, but I made it a point not to even
comment in those threads in case such a thing happened. Maybe you
could locate and send your ip address to Paul and he could remove
the block.

Goto a computer you want to access this site with. Bring up google,
and type in "my ip". Post the the address numbers in this thread.

I was blocked too. Can I also post my Ip?
I will admit I did post in one of the threads but I believe
radicalized ideas can be fought with rational ones

Yes. I can remove blocked IPs until we experience spam/troll
problems.

Is there anything adverse that can happen from posting your ip
address on a public board? Should the addresses be deleted from the
board after the fact?
I don't know... just asking.

@HollyDunn easy to run a portscan and look for familiar opened
doors and its well-known bugs. Most people doesn't have their OSs
up-to-date (funny thing to mention... some malware developers wait
for public releases of bugs to develop their malicious code; ie,
the virus are created because the company public advertise that
they had fixed a bug). Since this boards deals a lot with fetish, I
think that if someone here invaded someone's else PC, that would be
devastating.
But I'm not so sure that blocking IP would solve the problem. For
example, my IP isn't fixed. Just a reboot and I get a new IP. A
long range of blocked IPs would be needed... like my whole ISP
range. However, what if I'm not the only board user from my ISP?

I am normally hesitant to block IP addresses/ranges. As it will
likely catch people who are not the ones causing problems. But if
the problem can not be stopped by any other means, I will
increasingly block IP addresses until it does stop. That includes
blocking all IPs from an ISP. Sometimes there are no other options.

I am all for anything that stops the spamming here, even if it ends
up inconveniencing me. It is good to make note of this thread. If
something happens that causes me to get blocked, I will use my
phone or something to request access again. Thanks for letting us
know about the process and the solution.
