“Political correctness [Transmafia is America's newest form of intolerance, and fascism. It is especially pernicious because it comes disguised as tolerance. It presents itself as fairness, yet attempts to restrict and control people's language with strict codes and rigid rules."

Cis people.

From: D.A.W. , 39 months, post #224
Cis literally means not-trans. It's not offensive. Never has been, never will be.

"D.A.W." - Who are you to label someone, then demand they not be offended by it?

Why not just say woman and trans-woman? Why the need to label a born woman or man as 'Cis"?

No one has yet to give a good answer. Because there is not one.

.....And while I wholeheartedly support the rights of trans men and women and consider them courageous pioneers, it will probably make some unhappy to know that I reject the word “cis”, the term given by transgender people to their nontransgender brethren. I don’t consider myself a cis man; I consider myself a man. For while I will happily employ any term that a person feels best defines them, whether that be transgender, non-binary or gender fluid to name but a few, I reject the notion that someone can force an unwanted term onto another......

A label is only offensive, if the label intends offense. Not that difficult a concept to grasp.

Because by calling me a trans woman and a cis woman just a woman, you are invalidating me as a woman. You're saying that you only accept me on your terms. If you give us BOTH labels you're saying we're women, but of different experiences.

Got bad news for you, you are not a woman on the same level as a biological woman.

She is a woman, you are a trans-woman.

Be proud you are a trans-woman and leave women out of your issues.

And... there it is the transphobe shows his true colors.

Kindly crawl back into whatever hole you clawed out of. I'm not wasting any more time with you.

How is Caitlyn Jenner a woman on the same level that Chris Evertt is a woman?

She is not, Evertt is a woman, born a raised as a female, competed in sports as a female. Jenner decided after decades of living as a male, competing in sports as a male, to change his body to mimic a woman's, and no amount of crapping on the chess board, or tossing out transphobe is going to change it.

I am happy to acknowledge that Jenner has decided to present herself as a woman, but that does not make her a biological woman, on the same level as one, or even a woman born with AIS, it makes her a trans-woman.

Is trans-woman now something shameful to be?

If an author chooses to celebrate trans-women, or mention them, and not use the word Cis to describe a non trans woman in a story, there should not be attacks or pressure to write otherwise.

And I have no problem with an author calling a trans-woman a woman in a story.

I reject the term Cis in stories in an attempt to degrade a woman to a level that is desired by the transmafia.

"Got bad news for you, you are not a woman on the same level as a biological woman."

Frankly, Fed Up, you don't know shit about D.A.W. or any other trans person. You don't know anything about brain structures, hormone washes in the womb, epigenetics, the SRY gene, or any of the numerous scientifically documented ways in which trans people are biologically closer to and/or identical to their identified sex. Science has known it isn't just the simple "X or Y" for over 50 years now. Science has known that while less common, trans people are just another normal natural expression of human biology. Gender and sexuality exist on spectrums. But as usual, facts are inconvenient to phobias and bigotry.

Trans women are women, the same as cis women are women. When you apply the modifier to the first group but not the second, you are attempting to stigmatize them as Other and not normal.

And cis is an established scientific term from Latin that was used for decades before transphobes decided to take offense for a non-poltical descriptive term. It's no more a slur than "White", "left-handed", or "blue eyed." Taking offense at "cis" where none has been intended is yet another standard tactic by the powerful majority attempting to portray themselves as martyrs besieged by uppity minorities.

"Trans women are women, the same as cis women are women"

In what way?

I ask again. How is Bruce Jenner a woman the same as Chris Evertt is a woman?

Who are you to label any woman a "cis-woman"? As you say, you don't know shit about them.

Back to my major point.

Leave personal gender issues out of how an author chooses to write a story. Do not demand they change wording to fit your narrative. Allow free expression.

@Fed Up
It's pretty clear you don't know why that term is being used, it is to differentiate people who are born a woman who were into heterosexual relationships as opposed to transman/transwoman
