Doesn't exist for me as well. Shut down already?

sadly new cappers come and go these days. they're never in it for
the long haul. i think they expect instant gratification and when
they see the followers and comments aren't flooding in like they
expected, they get discouraged and quit. its kinda sad because a
lot of them have potential but we never get to see it blossom in
time.

Saying that they're fishing for instant gratification makes it seem
more entitled than it is. You put in the effort to create
something, you share it with other people and it just gets ignored
and passed over (or maybe people look at it and don't say anything,
same difference really). It's very easy to just wonder what the
point is if you're only doing it to an audience of yourself.

Doesn't work for me either. That's too bad - I love me some
captioned pics.
Any good recommendations for other blogs?

rugal- oh i agree with you. i wasnt trying to come down on anyone.
i mean, id hate to see something i made get passed over or ignored.
but what i mean is that this blog has barely been up a week and
they've already called it quits. thats no where near enough time to
gather an audience. no one will see your hard work if you dont give
it a chance.

I barely got any views on my blog, but get plenty on my Tumblr.
Then again; I think most people who like my caps on tumblr are only
paying attention to the photos and not the actual words.

Yeah... kinda sad. I've started mine few years ago, but deleted it
right away. I think that I simple just don't have the gift... I
think that I have good ideas, as many people should have, nothing
special here, but like most people, I can't put it into a beautiful
work that another mind besides my own can enjoy it.
Like that story of a bodyhopper who kidnapped a bride...
aaaaaaaaaaaaaand... yep, didn't even hit the 1000 letters barrier.

I've actually started using less porn images and have been getting
less hits because of it. But then again; I'm doing the captions for
me and not for other people.

smarkle, TG Swapping Caps and The Swapping Grounds are both highly
active for the most part. As of late the each seem to be posting
less but they are usually my goto blogs. Body Swap Fiction is
another good one.

What is smarkle??? Looked it up and can't find anything bodyswap
related.

Lol sorry smarkle was the name of the guest in post #8 asking the
question

It is kind of hard to keep up the momentum. I started a caption
blog recently and that was after stock piling caps for years.

I definitely agree with Mostly swaps. Keeping up the momentum was a
huge problem for me the first time I tried starting up a blog. I
eventually had to figure out a release schedule that let me
stockpile enough caps to keep things going during the inevitable
days/weeks/months where I just didn't have the motivation. I
figured out that once a day works for me, though I'd imagine it's
different for everybody.

I find my motivation waning nowadays. I don't feel like writing a
ten page essay or book length story either.

This all makes sense. One thing I can say, and I believe anyone who
has been doing this for years can attest, is you'll get better.
I'm still not a great writer. When I read some of the more skilled
authors, I question whether or not I should even keep contributing.
However, when I read my caps or stories from a few years ago, I can
see there is definite improvement.
Anyone attempting to contribute to the community is awesome :) Keep
on trying!

I know how it feels with inspiration. It comes like a dam bursting
for me and then dries up to a trickle. I don't worry too much about
schedules anymore, I just cap when the inspiration hits me. Not
much stockpiling for me : )
