The Decline of This Site

This site used to have very lively discussion but that is now a distant memory.
What is the cause?
Is it because there is other site usurping the role of this site?
If that is the case, which site is that?

From: guest , 79 months, post #2
Nah, there just isn't a lot of new content anymore. Transformation in media seems to be at a low point, so I personally only pop back once in a blue moon.

From: Mr. Ram , 79 months, post #3
I think it is because content cycles up and down, just wait a little bit, the winter months are coming and people will be spending more time inside, making new stuff.

From: guest (Usnavi) , 79 months, post #4
It seems to be just on the rise in China. Just you wait ...

From: guest (saint) , 79 months, post #5
Part of it is content cycles but I also wonder if it's generational shifts. I've been coming here since 2000 and it's getting harder and harder to impress me so I post less. I am curious, since the socio-political conversation has pushed race, gender, and transgender issues to the forefront if we will get more movies and TV that explore these concepts.

The film "Get Out" was a social horror film. Maybe since Jordan Peele's race film was such a success that Karyn Kusama's stock has risen her gender horror film "Invisible X" might seem more marketable today. Who would have thought Stephen King movies/TV would be so popular again? Not to mention, The Orville is a new show with an old formula. They're doing classic Trek stories and episode 3 already had a gender themed debate. Image comics, which is a pretty high profile studio, is doing CrossWind, and Tom Holland (the actor who now plays Spider-man" said he'd be interested in having Ultimate Spider-woman (Peter Parkers female clone) in the next movie.

sorry about the stream of consciousness

What do you mean by lively discussion? Like debates and conversation surrounding transformation themes? Or more content being posted?

From: guest (Fed Up) , 79 months, post #7
As much as I love it, and hate to say how long I have been coming here (back when it was TG only), main thing this site has become is, "Where Is This From"?

From: guest (Bob) , 79 months, post #8
I echo saint. I've been in this online world since 97. I'm 41 now, and although the kink is there, it's just faded. Finding new content just doesn't really excite me like it used to.

Plus CJ being gone has killed the quality of this site. I MISS CJ.

From: Holly Dunn , 79 months, post #9
Yeah. CJ used to respond to half of the posts here which kept conversations going. I would love to see more conversation on this site. I guess it is up to me and to you and to everyone lse here to chat a bit more if you want to see that happen.

From: guest (huh) , 79 months, post #10
most of the discussions were weird kink shit...and I believe CJ ruined the site and drove people away, by the time he left the damage had been done and only the regular mod ass kissers are left...also it has become a site for lazy people to get content instead of searching for themselves...just my opinion

From: guest , 79 months, post #11
Oh yeah i forgot all the stuff cj was deleting like threads and comments. It was a big turn off. Hated that time.

From: guest , 79 months, post #12
Actually CJ was deleting all the spam and trash which is what this page has become in his absence. The trolls now run wild

From: guest , 79 months, post #13
What spam, no one post here anymore.

From: guest (K) , 79 months, post #14
I miss when this site would have super constant updates about new manga, games, anime, moves regarding TG or any transformation. Now the site is kind of meh and on the forums here you have to look for some gems.

From: guest , 79 months, post #15
Yeah, CJ is gonna be missed... just not by the trolls, spammers and alikes.
He used to keep the board clean and tidy, as well boosting every good topic.

The damage is done when we just complain about it and do nothing more.

From: guest (Fed Up) , 79 months, post #16
Have had it with people who do not follow instructions. As in, if you are asked to comment about a TV show or movie with TG that you would like to see....Do not start with the books you want to read.

If you are asked to list TG Novels, do not start posting about every short story there is.

Side conversations between two or more in a thread that has nothing, or little to do with the topic.

And the before mentioned "where is this from" that clogs the site.

I miss CJ too

From: Holly Dunn , 79 months, post #17
@ (Fed Up) I agree with you and have been frustrated recently with people posting novels in the TV thread and vice versa. But this site also needs some real discussion. Do you have any suggestions there?

From: guest , 79 months, post #18
well... we kinda are having a real discussion right now, Holly... somehow connected to the main purpose of the board: how can we metamorphose it back to heaven it were.

From: guest , 79 months, post #19
we will MAKE METAMORPHOSE.ORG GREAT AGAIN!!!

From: Air Gear , 79 months, post #20
Too soon.
