So those who are curious this comic called acrosswind has a man and
a woman swap bodies and issue two was released today which was
sadly disappointing as the guy in the woman's body does not really
struggle with dressing up or anything remotely like that

TG wise nothing interesting happened. The early reviews did call
the series sexy. Hopefully something exciting will happen in the
next issues.

Flipped through it briefly---agreed, there's basically nothing M2F
about it, reaction-wise. May as well have been M2M.

I thought it was decent. Couple of hints at what caused it.
Casen in Juniper's body is yet to go to bed, so maybe there's
something in the next issue of having to deal with his new body's
husband.

Ditto with Metoo. I gave the first issue a chance, it was alright,
it had a decent setup for something entertaining, but then the
second issue disappointing so much, not even because it was sexy,
just that the two characters both handled their new situation
abnormally well. It didn't feel realistic or compelling at all.

And did you notice he changed clothes for dinner and we didn't get
to see how he dealt with picking out a dress and getting ready?

I personally enjoyed it precisely because I wasn't subjected to
seeing the same tropes get played out over and over. Since the
comic didn't follow either character minute to minute, I could
imagine that all the usual trope stuff happened off panel and could
just get on with the story.

I'm enjoying it. I'm curious to see where it goes from here.

I think you have to give it a few issues to get started and
established first. At least some of those things must be coming if
the covers alone are anything to go by.
Also, the fact that they handled the swap as well as they did so
quickly? Maybe that's why they were chosen in the first place
(Juniper = sci-fi/fantasy fan, Cason - looks like his mother taught
him how to cook).

"I think so, it’s Goodfellas meets Freaky Friday.
But the thrust of most such stories has always been a ‘curse.’ This
is not that kind of story. It’s got twists and turns and no one is
going to see the end coming."
OK, now we've all been around this particular block at least once
or twice, how do we
think it's going to end then?
The obligatory first guess would be some variation of their never
getting switched back to their original bodies but more or less
being OK with that in the end. Any other ideas/expansions on that?

You can get it here -
Crosswind #3 at Comixology
or at your local comic book store. It just came out today.

I'm buying it as a digital download direct from Image Comics.
Nothing really in that respect yet Valkan but they're setting up
the building blocks for it down the line. Maybe as soon as next
issue?

Does anyone know how long this series is gonna run? Is it
continuous?

While it was touted as an ongoing before it came out, the
solicitation for issue #6 in November has an air of finality about
it. So, the possibilities as I see them are
1) it will just be a six issue limited series
2) it is ongoing, but the Juniper/Cason story will be tied up in
issue #6, and issue #7 will be an entirely new story
3) it is ongoing, and the Juniper/Cason story is not resolved
completely and we continue with the characters
I hope that the third possibility is what happens, but we won't
know until at least when the December solicits come out next month.
Hopefully the sales of it have been enough to warrant them
continuing the series, and hopefully the two years between the
series announcement that the first issue coming out means that they
have a lot of issues already done, and there won't be a hiatus on
it if it ongoing.

Well, each month Image moves its line up of issues up a month (at
first I could see the first 4, now I can see up to Issue 6). So if
there is an Issue 7, I should see if that's the case on their
website next month, I guess. Either way, I think there might be an
answer.
