Hello everyone,
We could really use your support. My ex went to Children's Aid
Society (CAS) (Child Protective Services) and alleged that we are
sexually and emotionally abusing our children in our Body and
Clothes Swap videos. The kids were interviewed and confirmed they
love doing videos, they never felt uncomfortable participating and
were not being forced to do the videos. We were cleared, or so we
thought, until 3 days ago we got a letter from CAS saying our
videos are distrubing and cause for concern and that they strongly
recommend "that the children not be iinvolved in any further videos
that entail inappropriate adult content, particularly those with a
sexual them, and that any such existing videos be removed from
interent sites or any other form of publication". Despite what the
kids told them, their letter says that the kids appear to be taking
part in the videos at the command of the adults and therefore the
potential for emotional harm exists.
Verbally they told us that our videos sexualize the kids thereby
making them targets for online internet predators/pedophiles. The
kids are not scantily clad, not posed in any provocative way, nor
do they say anything provocative. If this were so, our videos would
be banned by YouTube and we would be in trouble with the law.
We asked them to illustrate how and why they felt we sexualized the
kids/what was considered inappropriate content/what was considered
sexual in the videos. Note that if our videos had sexual content
they would be age restricted by YouTube and none of the videos they
reference are age restricted.

So, the CAS cited these scenes as inappropriate adult/sexual
content which sexualizes the kids:
1. Brandon peeing in Body Swap (Mother and Son). Episode 1: The
Virtual Reality Body Swap! Brandon was not actually peeing, he did
not remove any clothes, the peeing was a sound effect, and peeing
is definitely not sexual. CAS insinuated that no one else films
children peeing. But if you Google “kids peeing” 402,000 videos
come up. Then of course there’s that peeing scene from The Diary of
a Wimpy Kid movie, which was rated G.
2. Brandon explaining how babies are made in Body Swap (Mother and
Son). Episode 3: First Time Out in Public! Brandon was asked to
explain how babies were made as he learned it in his grade 5 class
at Catholic school. Although he uses scientific/medical terminology
in a matter of fact way, CAS feels this is inappropriate and
sexual. Then I guess they better let the educators know that the
sex ed curriculum is inappropriate.
3. The children seeing James wearing Karin’s bra and panty in
Clothes Swap Challenge Part 2: Couple! Kids React to Parents. CAS
says the objection was the kids seeing underwear and that it would
have been equally as inappropriate if they saw Karin in a bra and
panty. The kids are readily able to see women in bra and panty in
any clothing store catalogue. In fact, the May 2015 issue of
Today’s Parent magazine features a woman in her bra and panty with
two naked children sitting on each of her hips. So the objection
cannot be that it was bra/panty/underwear. The objection also can’t
be the amount of clothing James had on because he had on more than
a diver in a speedo, more than a lot of people depicted in art
(e.g. Michelangelo’s statue of David), and more than the
bodybuilders’ posing trunks. Furthermore it is legal in Canada for
women to be topless in public whereas James didn’t even have his
chest bared. It therefore follows that what CAS finds inappropriate
and sexual is the transgender/cross-dressing aspect. Clothes
swapping is a genre on YouTube, is comedic in nature and not sexual
whatsoever. There is a long history in the entertainment industry
of men dressing as women in PG movies
4. Ethan asking Brandon (in Karin’s body) to see his mom’s boobs in
Body Swap (Mother and Son). Episode 1: The Virtual Reality Body
Swap!. It appears that Karin shows her breasts to Ethan, however,
she had a tank top on under her blouse. CAS stated that they have
no evidence that Karin did not show her breasts to Ethan. The fact
that four people who saw Karin wearing a tank top for that scene
told CAS that and that CAS was provided with a picture showing the
tank top under the blouse was not good enough. In any event, it is
legal here for women to be topless and breastfeed in public. The
intent of this scene was to be funny, and is not sexual.
It is noteworthy that all the videos that CAS wants removed and the
children not be involved in further, deal with gender identity and
looking transgender.

Maybe I'm alone in feeling this way, but it has always bothered me
a bit to see your videos advertised here alongside so much fetish
content. It hasn't been the content itself, from what little I've
seen, that I disliked. It's more-so that it's not that unlikely for
a thread with a video like MissaX to be on the same page as one
featuring your family. The comments on your videos also concerned
me, not that you have that much control over those. I love
Trans-culture and transformation, so I wouldn't consider myself a
"Transphobe" despite how I feel.
Anyway, just my thoughts as a casual observer of this whole
situation. From the fans you've gotten, I gather that you have a
lot more supporters here than people like me.

Thanks Devils Advocate. I don't know much about this site. How we
became aware of it was that in our analytics it showed we receive
traffic from this site. So since it was a source of traffic we
started posting future videos. Again, I don't have much experience
but from what I have seen so far there are a mix of people on here.
And yes as far as comments one of our videos has over 70,000
views.. Think of that in terms of the size of a massive arena.. how
many of those are going to be idiots, jerks, weirdos and anything
else... just out of shear numbers its not something that is
controllable.

I see this situation coming since your sons started to act in your
videos, first of all I´m not a fan of your videos honestly I dont
likein anyway your videos but thats not the point of my coment. I
know your intention is to make something funny but you have to
understand that a lot of people see this fetishim in a very sexual
way and I think you are exposing your family to this kind of
people. Im a huge fan of TG fiction and media, also I have my own
TG Captions blog, my intention is not to bother you I just want to
suggest you to stop to include your sons in your videos other
people wont see them like the way you think.

Res, I appreciate your input. We can not control the public or what
percentage of them view anything. Reality is that most cases of
sexual abuse by far is someone you know such as family, a coach, a
teacher. Our country represents only 9% of the views of our video
and I've never heard of perverts getting on planes and hunting down
people on youtube. We create as you said, comedy skits. We have fun
with it. The kids have fun. If people are going to have a fetish
with that we could be doing yoga videos and someone has a fetish
with that. Its outside of our control and by in large the responses
we get are people who find our videos funny and fun.

@RES, I thought your English was very good actually. Yes, as James
said, thank you for the input. I guess maybe we need help in
understanding body swap as a fetish. The intent of our videos is to
be in line with Freaky Friday. I just don't understand how this is
a sexual thing. How exactly are people viewing our son??!!! And as
James mentioned, we can't control other people's thoughts. as long
as our content is not inappropriate we can't control if other's put
their own inappropriate spin to them. But I would still like to
know how this is sexual in nature and a fetish? Thanks

Anyway, I think there was no problem with Body swap episode 6, you
can continue the series, but now only adults have to appear on them
(body swap v,)

Did you watch the video Fed Up? The biggest issue was how we were
cross dressed or me wearing womens clothing in front of the
children. What else would you call it? They didnt like me wearing
woman bra and panties...what is the term to express this kind of
bias describing it as disturbing?
Luismx.. yes we will continue.. that said we also want to fight for
the right to not be censored and take the story in whatever legal
direction we want.

Transphobia definition: intense dislike of or prejudice against
transsexual or transgender people
Cissexims definition: prejudice or discrimination against
transgender people.
Both definitions say prejudice. And if you watch our video or read
post #2, point #3, you will see why it has to be because of the
cross dressing.

I think this whole thing is definitely as Jane says a gross
overeach of power. They had cleared you guys, but then turned
around and continued to question you guys and you guys destroyed
their points with logical counter arguments. I really hate and feel
bad that this happened to you guys. I think what the people need to
realize is that almost everything is a fetish. People have fetishes
for anything including things like feet and ears. According to them
then that would mean that if there is a child actor portraying a
character in kids show because the child is showing his ears or his
because some creep with an ear or foot fetish sees it then it's
considered sexual. I guess they have to make that kid where full
body armor. It's completely ridiculous. I'm with you guys all the
way and hope you can conquer this.
I know that you guys put out really fun and creative content that
is supposed to funny and when I watch your videos I don't find
anything sexual about it. I know the video is made purely for
entertainment, and if there was a cause for concern YouTube would
have flagged the video. I support you guys in your fight against
this injustice and wish you the best. I love your guys videos and
want you to continue this body swap series that everyone loves. I
love you guys for all of the things you do to invest all your hard
work and time into making these fun videos like these body swap
episodes! Please continue the body swap series. I am really looking
for to seeing body swap part 7 and 8 and 9 and 10 and all future
episodes in this body swap series I love it, and I hope the kids
are handling this whole thing well because they seem like really
great kids. Thanks for everything James, Karin, Catherine, eren,
Cara, Randy and the kids. You guys are the best!

Sometimes, especially in say a title for something you cant give a
word soup .. the video is 24 min and pretty in depth break down...
and i cut it down so people would stay attentive. The person who
reported the videos specifically referred to perverted videos of
people dressing as the opposite sex and wearing make up etc. For
the sake of describing the point of the video a term has to be
given.. I think the arguments in the video vilify them and actually
they vilify themselves with their letter more than any title....

@Fed Up. YouTube also limits the number of characters in your video
title but otherwise i suppose we could have said Child Protective
Services Wants to Ban our Body Swap and Clothes Swap videos and
provides reasons why that in our opinion are consistent with
transphobia. We actually did say it our video title, description
and content were expressing our opinions.
By the same token I trust that you if want facts to speak then they
shouldn't have tossed out words like "disturbing" ,
"innappropriate", "cause for concern", "emotional harm", because
that is all opinion as well.

The problem whether or not is everyones cup of tea, youtube and
online is full of trolls, who get no better kicks then to try and
hurt random people, then there are the ones who dont agree with
what they see. I see this as, just from how toxic people can be.
Just another little example of people going crazy for being stupid
is Emerald City. It has a girl who whas turned into a boy by magic
(she tought she was a boy) until the magic wore off. Either way
people were attacking the show saying how dare they bring a tg
person to oz, when in fact, the character is in the orginal book.
Just the time we live in.
The other thing is I can see what they are getting at in some
parts. Its not that your video has sexual content. Its the fact
that you have it available and anyone can get their hands on it.
Its like the advice we get to not to upload our childrens pics to
facebook openly. Because the internet is dark and full of wankers
:P
You might need to try and find where the complaints are coming from
to help fix the problem
