body swap thoughts
From: guest , 83 months, post #1
Hi, don't know if that has been discused on here before, but today I read that Emilia Clarke will be in a remake of a korean body swap movie. That made me wonder, do you think some famous person might be interested in body swaps/ transformations as well? The idea that they are visiting this site too sounds exciting to me haha

From: guest (Valkan) , 83 months, post #2
I don't think Emilia is interested in body swaps. Just a movie that her agent threw her way that she thought would look good on her resume.

But other celebrities it is possible. Statistically speaking very likely. Any big celebs want to out themselves on the message board?

Also in case people don't know what we are talking about

Haha, well if Emilia was interested, I bet a lot here would like to swap with her. :P As for the statistic, don't know, not sure how many people (like in percent) are interesting in it

She may not even be apart of the bodyswaps, she could just play the girl who the guy who wakes up in a different body loves. This is also a short series but made in america

True, but despite the fact that she most likely isnt into swaps herself, who would you expect to be more likely?

I think it was discussed in a thread before that some actors has acted many times in body swap movies. I don't think it's possible to keep getting yourself across this kind of movies if not because you have particular interest in the theme!

IIRC, someone brought up this subject here a good while ago but I wouldn't know what to search the boards for.

I think what guest #4 said is true b/c you don't pay money for a household name and give them what amounts to a little more than a cameo.

I forget the tenor of the conclusions that that thread came to but someone tried to point out other people who have been in a bodyswap part as proof that they're a fan of the genre. Nope. Unless you're a AAA list actor you usually take what parts might help and not ruin a career.

Some actors might like the idea of showing they have the range to play characters out of type, but that's not the same thing.

This interest is probably a very small percentage of the population and if it's reflective of the population of actors I would guess it would be few to none but even those probably have other interests as well and don't wanna push to be typecast as a one trick pony.

I think this is the thread everyone has been talking about.

As has been pointed out in that thread, it might be just because producers want someone who already experience doing similar thing.

I'm sure wanting to live a normal average everyday life is something they at times crave or wish upon themselves. While I want the money they make, it does come with a price of people almost constantly taking pictures or videos and wanting autographs even when doing something simple as going to the store or really just simply stepping out of one's house.
