How old do you think this fetish, this kink – or whatever you wanna call it â€
From: guest (WhiteTights) , 85 months, post #1
I have always been intrigued about how cultural and social changes affect human sexuality.

About the story of kinks and fetishes. Unfortunately, because the information record, back in the day, was very precarious, as well as the communication as a whole (you couldn't, for example, have a place like this webpage in the 19th), we don't know very much about kinks of past generations (especially not main stream kinks).

What we know is, for instance, some books from the 19th century showing body swap stories, for example, however, we don't know if that was a kink for the author, or to someone in that audience, I believe so..

But anyway, what your two cents about this?

(Sorry for any grammar mistake)

I have wondered the same thing, and honestly... i think I have cartoons and old horror movies to blame for the thing I'm interested in. Seriously, because there are so many old shows with BE and TG, lots if crossdressing for comedy etc

Also... I finally figured out how to get into this dang topic! It's blank for me on the thread list

Yeah, maybe the emojis made metamorphose eat it? Weird as heck. Had to set the thread ID to what I set as my nickname.

It's weird because the "", when I posted was just a question mark.

If the admins could fix this somehow, I would be glad

dang, was hoping this thread would be more interesting given the effort i had to take to find it

First of all, i'm not a native english speaker, so forgive me that.
Second of all this is my first comment on this site despite the fact that i'm keep browsing it for a couple years now.
There are a couple of reasons for that. One of them being that for the longest time i was embarassed about this little fetish of mine. Well, still kinda am, but that's not that important now.
This post though, it immediately grabbed my attention, considering this is something that i'm frequently thinking about.
What's a fetish really, and how does it develop individually and culturally? Why is that even though there are so many different and weirdly specific ones, for every given fetish there's always a surprisingly large group of people who are into it?
I'm not really able to answer any of these questions, mostly because i'm no psychologist or sexologist or whatever, but i'll try to do my best.

I think for the TF/TG fetish we have to go deep!
It's certainly much older than the 19th century, given how many ancient mythologies deal with change and trasformation in general. Even gender change isn't withouth precedent. Think of Tiresias, or how Loki liked to change into women from time to time. (i'm sure other ancient cultures had stuff like this, especially in eastern asia, but i don't know anything about those.)
So the idea was always there, people were always curious about what's it like to be the other gender. How did it become a kink? Hard to tell. Ancient greek and roman poets liked to write about their weird sexual fantasies, right? Was Ovid's Metamorphoses one of them? No clue. Probably not. We'll never know.

So there ya have it. I could go on, but i won't cause i'm kinda lazy and i also have stuff to do.
But i'd like to hear some thoughts.
