So have been hanging around this community for about 10 years now and most people I have come across with body swap fetishs or whatever you want to call have been male. Wondering how many women out there share a similar interest. Just curious

From: guest (Guest2) , 87 months, post #2
It's just guys. Every now and then this question has come up and there are a few cis gendered females (is that the right term?) that post but I doubt they are interested.

What I'm curious about is how this turned into such a gender bending forum when it's suppose to be all different kinds of transformations. I'm primarily here for MtF so it gives me some comfort that my "thing" isn't so weird as to be scarce.

I also find it strange that Furries have conventions and go out in public but I would never want the same for the metamorphose.org community. I like my privacy.

Wow Guest2 I never thought of it like that! It's more socially acceptable for Furries to have entire conventions about their fetish but we'd be weird if we had a convention all about body swapping fetish. That's kinda funny

From: guest (jessietg) , 87 months, post #4
I'm sure there's furries that also like their privacy and don't go to those conventions. I wonder how many people would actually go to a body swap convention though

From: guest , 87 months, post #5
Body swap convention? How to do that though?

From: guest (justcurious) , 87 months, post #6
I really appreciate this community and also like the privacy that seems to exist here. Although I wonder what it would be like to date someone who had the same interest in this stuff. Haha that was one of the reasons I asked? It would be quite a curious situation right.

It is a shame more women aren't into this. I have encountered a few of course, but I would guestimate that the male representation in this community is north of 90%. In the halcyon days of internet past I did find a woman into TF on a now long defunct message board. After talking with her on the phone I was able to confirm she was in fact a woman. After weeks of phone and internet chats, I flew to her hometown and spent a week with her. It was a wonderful experience, but unfortunately we didn't have enough in common to form a romance. Remarkably though, I found that her interest in TF was nearly identical to my own. So, they are out there, they just seem to be rather rare.

My gf is into dom/sub stuff plus like pet play. So I throw physical tf to a dog or cat with fangs and contacts and she's into it

I am guessing that this is going to sail right past the OP, but have you met the internet?

First off, you cannot tell a person's gender from the way he or she posts and everyone is presumed male until she self-identifies.

Second, there is rarely anything to be gained by disclosing that you are not a western white cismale when you post to an internet discussion board.

Some places are better managed, but no online "community" is completely secure against abusive sexists, racists, misogynists, xenophobes; the toxicity of twitter and 4chan spills over into every part of the web.

So, a woman on this board might not be inclined to start every post with "writing as a woman..." nor is she likely to chime in with "Yeah, I am a woman here!" when someone starts a thread like this one.

Its worse IRL. The few meat-space places where you can indulge this kind of interest present too great a risk for harassment for many women. There are some very tough minded women out there, but not every woman wants to subject herself to the crap.

@ (Guest 2) What I'm curious about is how this turned into such a gender bending forum when it's suppose to be all different kinds of transformations.

While other categories of transformations have been added, this site actually started out as the The Gender Change Fiction List .

Wow, guest #9. If *you* are not a woman, you have *really* been paying attention to what goes on. Yes, most of the internet makes most of us want to be stealthy.

On almost *any* forum, it is rare for it to be advantageous to "out" yourself as female -- 90% of the time you start getting stalked. There's always someone who suddenly starts PMing you (or msg if by chance you're using IRC) and just won't go away. And if you ever mentioned that you hang out anywhere else, they start showing up there. And, it's just hell if you ever go anywhere live -- esp if you are *at all* attractive.

I'm guessing it's because there are a lot of shut-ins on the internet -- guys who never get out and have so seldom seen a female, let alone interacted with one!

Regardless, it's just scary. And then people wonder why, in so many places, there seem to be so few women. (As a side thing, the latest scandal at uber is a *similar* issue).

From: guest (jill) , 87 months, post #11
Because women are heartless, cruel and selfish, since there is no need to take the people here down a few pegs because in a way being here we all have our issues or kinks so we're all ready down. Thus its not really a need for women to be here, unless there like us guys flawed but the ones I know aren't because their perfect and always right!

From: guest , 87 months, post #12
Clearly, forums like this place are so welcoming...

From: guest , 87 months, post #13
Wow... some anti-women issues there, "jill"

Imagine if somewhere out there, there is a couple who are BOTH secretly on this site and they don't even know it, haha

From: guest , 87 months, post #16
I'm a woman with a body swap/possession kink, though I don't think I like it for the same reason most guys seem to. I find the idea of a person being radically changed physically or mentally or adopting someone elses identity exciting, but the appeal for me is the contrast and the change itself, not the result. I don't really care if it's male to female or female to male or male to giant snake robot or whatever.

However, the erotica penned by men/the general focus of these sorts of communities seems to mostly be about how exotic and different, and usually superior, the female body in particular is, which for obvious reasons isn't really interesting to me. That would be why I'd guess you don't see any women in these sort of communities that focus a lot on that part.

From: guest , 87 months, post #17
yeah... several users such as Bud are responsible for turning this site into some kinky exotic kind of weird forum...

@ (guessed) Thanks for the trivia about The Gender Change Fiction List. I never knew that. I believe I started coming to this website in late 1999 or early 2000.

From: guest (justcurius) , 87 months, post #19
@Polover how crazy would that be hahah

From: guest (Bauxite) , 87 months, post #20
could just be that guys are more likely to post about their fetish online

that doesn't mean women aren't into it, it just means you have no way knowing
