A montage of most of her scenes in episode 3

From: guest , 16 months, post #42
Did anyone watch it this Friday?

From: Holly Dunn , 16 months, post #43
It's a ten episode mini-series, most likely not up for renewal. Tip's actress is listed as the #6 star and there are so many stars. They go into some significant backstory for each of them, but given Dorothy is the star, everyone else takes a few minutes a show. Tip is a side character.

There are some good moments this episode including Tip hoping to join the army to fight but gets dragged to the girls' orphanage, and then the Witch West competing for her services. West runs a whorehouse and opium den, but Tip is still too young for all of that.

They do a nice bath scene with Tip's first bath as a girl, contrasting with episode two where he is in a bath as a boy.

It seems like there will be some scattered nice moments each episodes until Tip becomes Princess Ozma, based on the Oz books. The moments are worth watching if you can access the sites to watch. It is free on the USA NBC app atm, but that will change.

It is definitely worth watching, especially if you can fast forward through the non-tg stuff.

I watched the whole season, and I liked it quite a lot. It is definitely darker and more mature than the Oz I grew up with, but I liked the more mature tone myself. The transgender themes are very strong with Tip. It was nice to see a transgender character in a TV show who was believable, and could express transgender struggles in a way that almost anyone could understand. I'm disappointed that it was only 10 episodes.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I just finished watching the last episode on, and I didn't want to create a new thread if one already existed.

lol, my Captcha was 2017. Funny.

Anyway, I just wanted to mention that I submitted info for this show to be added to the database. Hopefully, this will prevent others from submitting duplicate entries.

Could you give us a quick synopsis about Tip's character throughout the season

From: Holly Dunn , 14 months, post #47
Tip was only in about 5-to-6 minutes each episode. The vignettes were very powerful with him battling his gender identity, demanding to choose his gender himself, and other outbursts. If I go back and watch them all again, maybe I can log them, but it was a few minutes per episode per week for 10 weeks. It was progressive to see what they did, but it was also buried in the show.
